The Democrats will win big or there will be voter irregularity.
Yes possibly.
I think the Dems MAY take the house, but they won't pick up all the seats needed in the senate for a majority.
So, whatever BS bill they try to pass will be blocked by the senate, and Bush can always veto if it makes it past there.
As long as we have a Republican senate, then the 1 or 2 more supreme court nominations that Bush will likely get to make will go on unhindered.
At home, Arnold will almost surely win govennor, and if McLintock is Lt. Gov. and Doolittle is congressman, and we pass prop 85, then I won't care much about the house.
If we were to lose the senate however....
THAT would suck and I would indeed be eating humble pie.
(on the bright side such an occurence, coupled with a Democratic prez in '08, would lead to the largest uprising of conservative activism in 2010 and 2012 that the bitching over bush would look like nothing.)

My statement was sarcastic.

Yeah right. If the democrats win, Republicans will dump the religous right. People care about REAL issues.

Yeah right.
The Republicans win and lose elections if the religious right do or don't turn out.
Plus, look at my quote.
I said conservative activsim, not Christian.
(and most Republicans were conservative last time I checked.)
Enjoy this while it lasts friend.
As for me, I've got a republican President, a republican govennor (sort of 😛 ) and two new conservative Supreme court justices.
I'm happy.

You'd like that wouldn't you?
Unfortunately you have to deal with reality.
Reality is college educated, California born and raised people (like myself) turn to Christianity by the millions every year, and many more believe in conservative values as a way of life.
(now if only we could get them off of their asses to vote....)
😛
Considering the obvious shift in the country to conservative President, House, Senate, and Justices after Clinton's years.....
wouldn't that just prove my point?

Apparently your not an American.
1. Republicans won the last several elections because of the religous right, but that was in synch with a general conservative movement in America. When independant voters go back stongly to the Democratic side, the religous right won't matter, especially if they feel like they are not buddy budy with the Republican party.
2. I think everyone is well aware what type of conservatism you meant, this being reinforced by your statement above. I also knwo what movements you associate yourself with. If I'm wrong, pm me about it and we cna have a private discussion.
3. Of course Republicans are conservatives. However, Neo-cons arent. We have the worst spending of any administration in history and you say this administration is conservative? Perhaps its not so cut and dry. Many conservatives I know arent voting because of the Bush administrations spending habits.
4. I hope you never b*tch about "activist" judges. LAW IS LAW. If you want judges to make dicisions based on political parties, you have issues.

You might get a dose of reality tonight, noting that a win is not a win for Democrats, but against Republicans. "Conservative Values" would have women in the kitchen, blacks in the fields, and the English as our colonial power.
Originally posted by sithsaber408I'll agree with the bitching part, because no one knows how to ***** like conservatives

believe what you want. be involved how you wish. however your constant hinting at some revolutionary uprising is old, tired, and reminiscent of so many backwoods redneck militias threatening to invade washington whenever a democrat is in office.
you are a citizen and hold just as much imaginary power as i do in this supposed democracy. use it how you will but dont pretend to be better or more significant, or even the sum of all that is right and pious.
