Anyway, it looks like America is going to get it's first Muslim congressman. Keith Ellison is leading the polls by a handsome majority.

the senate race is very close. if there is a recount in any remaining states we could be waiting a few days

I expect that the Republicans will probably maintain controll of the Senate, but by a much slimmer margin. Which isn't necessarily an awful thing; we've just seen what can happen when one party gets too much power.

The prolific use of signing statements by the Executive, makes the win in the House somewhat hollow without a win in the Senate to accompany it.
