is anyone still with me on the good ship of "please dont end with a stupid kid no matters whose it is" ???

LMAO 😂 I really don't want a stupid kid, well I want one of my own. But that would make sense with what Terry said. How clever of them to create a scenario where half of the shipper lovers will be disappointed?? If you think about it. What else could those lines be? But apparently that was removed. 😕

I don't think kids and pirates mix all that well, at least not well for the screen. Now me, I'd love to see a couple of kids hanging on Jack and I think he would enjoy that, too, but it doesn't translate well to a movie.

Jack (getting ready to sword fight random pirate): I'm done threatening you. I think I'll kill you now.

Little Jack: Daddy.

Jack (ignoring): Oh yes, you'll remember this day as the day you ALMOST....

Little Jack: Daddy!

Jack: What?

Little Jack: I have to potty.

Jack: That's what the whole ocean is for, love. Daddy's a little busy right now.

(random pirate has run off)

Jack: Bugger. Oh well. Come on, son, let's drain the lizard.

Little Jack: Hooray!

I know its beautiful!! THeres alot more on the swanns and sparrows site. I try to do something similar but its just too damn gorgeous.

oh gosh thank heavens you understand!!!! 🙂 YAY for you.

kids are wonderful, but they become your number 1 priority. im having such a hard time understand all these characters and their shifting priorities, if you threw a kid into the mix, i would throw up my hands and go home.

Ok guys Off Topic, But I just wanted to say that I have never seen this forum with so many people in it.

Ok back on topic.

Willoft TnT should hire you so you can to help them with the next movie 😂

Surreal is right in that the Port Royal, Will Turner, traditional woman is very much a part of who she is, as much as the pirate aspect of her nature.

Well, I tend to disagree with the idea that Will is traditional, per se. Remember, he is of a much lower class than she. If she were truly a traditional gal, she'd have been just as happy, if not happier, to have been married to the commodore.

Choosing to leave Norrington for Will was maybe not a surprise to the audience, but it was a huge surprise for the characters in the movie.

One other note, is that Ted has mentioned that the Shadow part of Elizabeth played a huge role in DMC.

I assume the Shadow aspect of her is the pirate bit of her, but that does not mean that it is her true self or nature. She will need to reconcile all aspects of herself, but just because she can and does act like a pirate sometimes does not mean that she necessarily WANTS to be like a pirate.

Remember, she tasted what it was like to do something incredibly selfish, and based on her reaction to it, I'm not sure it's something she would want to indulge in all the time.

I know what you mean, look at what happened with The X Files. The baby messed everything. At the end they decided to put him in for adoption, I guess they couldn't work a good storyline for the baby. And then they made the parents fugitives.

Oh, and Kate, I think we're in agreement over the whole "Please, please don't let a child be involved" for the end of AWE. Ewww, bad, bad, bad ending, all around.

I don't care if it's Norrington's kid.

I'm not fond of children anyway. When I saw CotBP, I wanted to chuck both young Will and young Liz into the ocean. 😈

i am quite convinced her pirate nature is more of who she is than her traditional nature. it seems that her pirate nature is who she is when she is in her most vulnerable, stripped down moments. like on the island, like with jack, etc.

the proper girl seems to be a front she puts on at times. like her freak out on the beach with the "oh the heat!" pretend to faint bit. that isnt who she is-- its who she pretends to be when she deems it necessary.

she is more freaked out by a proposal than a pirate threatening her and seeing her in her underwear. that seems pretty clear about what her true nature is like.

ADD: ANd surreal, YAY! 🙂 im TOTALLY with you on the kid thing

I would LOVE to write the next movie. Do you like POTC4: Meet the Jetsons? I had this really original idea where the Pearl is taken up in a hurricane and it lands in this mysterious land of little people and the crew learns the Pearl landed on the wicked witch and now Jack is their national hero.

Come out, come out, wherever you are.
And meet the great pirate who fell from a star
He fell very high. He fell very far.
And Port Royal he says is the name of the star

(Munchkins)
Port Royal he says is the name of the star

He brings you good news, or haven't you heard?
When he fell out of Port Royal a miracle occured.

JACK
It really was no miracle what happened was just this.
The wind began to blow,
the rum, to overflow
and suddenly our sanity just began to go
Just then that 'ho, whose thinking's really slow
Came riding on her broomstick
That's the truth, yo ho!

Let the good news at last be spread, the wicked old witch at last is dead!

Munckins
Yo ho, the witch is dead
Which old witch?
The wicked witch.
Yo ho, the wicked witch is dead!

I'm in the I don't want a kid story line yet. There's so many other things to resolve in AWE that it would be a trifle over whelming. And while I think that a child does make sense in relation to Jack's character development in AWE, at the same time, I think it's something that belongs at the end of a mythical fourth movie.

While I think T+T could make it believeable and more than likely do a great job at it, I think that kids tend to spoil a movie when they're added later.

Like, take the Zorro sequel for instance. The actual story between Elena and Alejandro wasn't terrible, but then they added the kid into it and it weakened the movie. (Even though the movie didn't have a lot going for it in the first place). All the focus became the kid, and the rest of the story got lost.

"I'm not fond of children anyway. When I saw CotBP, I wanted to chuck both young Will and young Liz into the ocean."------Surreal

I love kids, but THANK YOU! I thought I was the only one annoyed with these young actors. Little Liz's accent comes and goes and I cringe at her saying, "it's okay." Not a single other person says "okay" in the whole series. She doesn't even look like Keira Knightley.

totally true. but t and t didnt write the 2nd one of zorro-- did they? i thought it was just the first.

and Willo, i cant even handle the brilliance and hilarity of that last post. my jaw is hanging open, which is quite a feat cause i have lockjaw. mad props to you. that was incredible.

She tasted freedom. The selfish thing she did was tie jack out of temptation and her heart just couldnt take it.

They both practically ended up what each said they would both do

Jack prooved to be a good man

Liz got a taste of jack sparrow she couldnt resist and she chained him up on a selfish impulse

guys, we need to start a new ship entitled "keep the kids out of the pirate movie!" lol

Surreal44 Terry and ted basically said that side of Liz is dead and gone now..thats what the dress meant when it was sinking..its in the commentary.

she's a pirate

If its a kid ending..it wont be gushy..it will be amazing i can sense it..

It's fun and all picturing a baby and making believe that is Jack and Liz. But a kid just cant pop in from anywhere. Lets get real its actually a silly thougt lol. It could all be confirmed from the movie and its future sequels
