Reinvention is such an interesting word choice, especially since there isn't much to re-invent with Pirates. So much of it is good already. Then again, maybe they'll tell the stories of some of the other characters and how they're related to Jack. There are a lot of things left unresolved, like how it is that Barbossa comes back to life for instance.
Also, I think we need to define the word pirate for a second. There's the Jack Sparrow version of a pirate, and then there is a true Pirate.
A true pirate is someone like Barbossa; fiendish, sinister and rotten to the core. He's a man who lives solely for his own selfish gain. There's no moral conflict. He kills innocent people without so much as a second thought.
Where as the Jack Sparrow pirate is a little more like Robin Hood. He's a man who is essentially rebelling against a society that is morally corrupt. He's a man who spares innocent lives at all costs, who uses his wits rather than his brute strength. A pirate and a good man if you will.
Elizabeth is closer to a Jack Sparrow pirate than she is a Barbossa pirate, but even that is debatable, which I find interesting. The writers have said that she is more of pirate than any of them! And thus far, this is true. It was true in the first movie as well in her choice to go and rescue Will. As the writers have said before, as a result of her choice to trick Norrington, many innocent lives were taken.

I know that nobody gives a rats ss about this 😂 but,
For all those Orli/Keira shippers, I read an article in the internet saying that they were seen in a supermarket and they were hugging and being very lovable to each other.
awwe I admit I think they both OFF SCREEN make a cute couple 😄
Ha, thanks Misty, that's a good idea. Ok, well, invention is obviously creating something new.
So re-invention, is taking that invention and refining it essentially. Making it better or re-invisioning it. I guess looking at it from a different light.
But I can't imagine what that light would be unless they explain some of the things that were left out during the passage of time between DMC and CotBP. Or maybe they'd feature some of the other previously unsung heros. Like Gibbs, Norrington, even Governor Swann.
re·in·vent (rn-vnt)
tr.v. re·in·vent·ed, re·in·vent·ing, re·in·vents
1. To make over completely
2. To bring back into existence or use
1. To do something again, from the beginning, especially in a needless or inefficient effort: "School districts need not reinvent the wheel every time they try to improve their schools" Washington Post.
2. To recast something familiar or old into a different form

So in other words, they are going to take whatever scenario it is created in AWE and tie it with the 4th movie? or What happened in COTBP and DMC and AWE and tie it with the 4th. God I'm confuse 😆

But what is there to make over? I can see them explaining Jack's past but that doesn't fit the word re-invention.It's like the old saying, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
So, what would they re-invent?
This actually helped me understand better, from what I understand they are going to fix everything that happened in COTBP, IMO they are going to make it tie up together with the 4th movie.
