I'll do it for you. First lets find the acceleration. Let D be the distance of a light year in meters, 'a' the acceleration in meters per second^2, and t for time in seconds.
D=299792458*3600*24*365
t=3
Now
D=1/2at^2
=> a=2D/t^2
Now that we know 'a' we find the speed Vf SS reached after the first 3 meters of travel.
Vf^2=2ad where d=3 meters
=>Vf=sqrt(2*a*d)
=sqrt(2*2*D/t^2*d)
=112274990 meters per second
Light speed is 299792458 meters per second
So SS obtained 37.45% of speed of light within after the first 3 meters of travel.

No he doesn't. Reaction time is nothing when one doesn't have the proper acceleration to go with it. This is not SS vs. Superman. Stop trolling the thread. No being can act when they are stunned, otherwise they wouldn't be stunned. Thanos will be re-newly stunned with each successive hit. The stun effect adding up until Thanos is koed.

SS's power set is based on matter/energy manipulation not on punching people like SM's, so guess what: even if he did not have the acceleration and speed to match his reaction times, which he does, he only needs to think to use his powers. He does not need to close in on people at all and has major range advantage over SM just the same.

How do we know how long it took? Because thanos was already punching CA when SS made a grab for IG and got there before he finished. Even real humans throw punches in less than a second, so the 3 seconds estimative is just way off.

Regarding the running joke 'combo to ko' theory. Given their history of feats, SM will not stun thanos before he can react and even if SM's dodging is impressive, area attacks will get to him just the same.

for some reason, whenever I copy and paste scans from other threads,they dont open correctly. Just go to his respect thread and see the ones listed under speed. It's the third category there. They all work fine if you follow the link from there.
