^ Everything you said actually disproves that he had the natural ability to react to Surfer when he zoomed by and missed. Not the other way around.Nothing on panel remotely leads us to the points that he was amped by the Infinity Gauntlet other than he was amped by the Infinity Gauntlet.
duryes
So despite him handicapping himself and actually stating it when did you know he amped his himself to react quicker?
When does the writer ram that home.

You said that Thanos failed to react against Thor Hulk etc. Yet reacted against SS. Why? Is it because Thanos used the IG in the Surfer incident and not in the others? Or is it because of inconsistent writing?
If it is the latter then why couldn't it be inconsistent that the IG has Thanos amped yet unamped at times? Thanos busted through CA's shield which takes extra hand speed to achieve. This alone shows an instance where he was amped in speed.
Either way it's a non feat. You either have a godlike powered Thanos performing a feat that you can't accurately separate from his godliness, just as you can't apply any of Parallax's feats to Hal Jordan, or Extants to Hawk, etc etc. . . or . . Surfer just missed. It's time to move on to something else here though.

Which means either (i) Surfer wasn't blazing by at FTL speeds (because that would have both Thanos and Cap moving at FTL speeds), or (ii) it's shoddy sequencing that shouldn't count for much since Ron Lim is just a poor-man's George Perez... OR this:
if you want to get technical, who says surfer was at the same speed when he went for the glove?all we know is that cap wasn't amped yet changed his position from a seemingly accepted self-sacrifice/defiance stance to a right cross.
