That seems silly as surely superheroics are plot driven and not powerset driven. It's the plot the drama comes from. Not the fire vision 10111 for da winz!

With that in mind; If I started a Lois vs Darkseid thread, would your answer be "Lois wins"?

It's place where ppl debate using certain characters' powersets against other characters' powersets. We use comic book characters but we do NOT let the rules of comic book publishing (whereas the writer would need to consider readership, in w/c case the vast majority of the readership would want the hero to win in the end) to govern them.

they're the characters as they're represented in the comics, but instead of geoff johns writing green lantern for example, we do.

Well not exactly, you write them with the laws of those universes negated. Laws which in their way are as important as the powerset. Cap will 'find a way to win'. reed 'will create something', Superman will 'pull a plot device out of thin air', Thor will 'look ridiculous' forsooth etc.
These are as important as powersets and govern the powersets and outcomes.
Actually a lot of characters have the "will gind a way to win"... Its called a pis aura... Plot induced stupity?
Then it becomes whose is greatest.. Superman... Batman... Cap.. Wolverine... When any writer at any givem day or time would change it at a whim... Or ie retcon... The flavor of the week changes often.. Deadpool is now sought aftee before it was wolverine and before that spiderman... Hulk is now the behemoth of the month but thor...
We try to use each character at generally displayed levels not accounting for pis cis etc... Like a best of averages...
Otherwise you would never have a debate... Because in a battle if someones gotta win the answer is whoever is selling the most comics today...
