no, they don't. writer opinion governs what happens. thats why people like mcduffie can write jla and fraction can write x-men.

we go by the personality and the powerset of the characters. we don't give them the advantages some writers would, because we know some writers won't.

If Superman can move 5ft before Thanos moves 1ft then how can Thanos defend himself properly? Thanos couldn't prevent himself from getting hit nor would he be able to hit Superman. Speed kills.

Superman wins against Thanos everytime due to speed. As long as Thanos is slow in comparison to Superman he would lose. Adding in rings or other characters just makes the fight more lopsided in Superman's favor.

it's a flawed argument cause you're basing it on the assertion that superman can in fact hurt thanos, so him getting the first blows = wins.

thanos doesn't have to move anywhere to be impervious to harm

There is ABSOLUTELY no proof anywhere to suggest that Thanos can't be hurt by Superman's blows. That would be trolling to say that. Remember resistance against energy projection is not the same as resistance against blunt force attacks.

But there is PLENTY of proof to suggest that Thanos CAN BE hurt or stunned by herald level type physical blows.

Thanos' regen from death took time. Enough time for Supes to continue the pain.

Though with Shields and tech Thanos can last forever. Tech he didn't have during the Thanos Imperative. He was in too much of a rush.

But with his recent amps + basic equipment he wins this.

I'm still amazed at how threads like this are still open.

What evidence do you have to even suggest that Thor with the PG was at least 2x stronger than a non holding back Thor? It's not about who Thor beat it is how he beat them in determining how much stronger he was.

That's because it is reasonable that Superman can beat Thanos fighting to the best of his abililty.

Thanos has no good defense against Superman if Superman decides to use his speed.

Thanos has no good offense against Superman if Superman decides to use his speed.
