My point exactly, even Superman highest showings would be around what Thanos did against Tyrant -and that is, looking hard at them- or lower.
How do you think Superman would do in a slug fest with insane Thor with the power gem? Insane Thor without the power gem was already beating up groups of high heralds.

The showings where Thanos overpowered or flat out slapped the Hulk.
Or... are you talking about when Thanos punched professor Hulk one time - which did absolutely nothing - or when Thanos grabbed his head ?
I don't know if you know it, but Spider-Man has given Hulk much more trouble than Thanos. Using only his fists...

No. Just no.Thanos isn't skyfather, not even close. I know you guys like to think that, but he isn't.
It's not because you are above herald level, you automatically are skyfather.
I think that Thanos is to Skyfather what Wonderman/Black Bolt/Sentry are to Heralds: They are, in fact, in their weight class, but just don't compete against the more powerful of them (Odin, Zeus in Thanos case, and Silver Surfer, Thor, Hulk, etc, for the three others).
But the point is: Thanos can't be compared to the like of Surfer, Thor, and Superman. He's much, much closer to the like of Odin, Zeus, Shazam, in term of power.
And to link this to the thread, it's why Superman don't stand a chance against Thanos: The Mad Titan is too powerful to be vanquish by Superman. And I don't say Sups is feeble or anything. In my mind, he's the solid number 2 or 3 in term of power in the "Heralds levelers", behind Surfer and probably Thor. And I say that while I HATE Superman, and I'm a sucker of Surfer. But facts are facts:
- Odin one-shotted Surfer and stomp Thor when he feels like it. Thanos makes him work his ass, NEVER PUTTING HIM IN DANGER, but Odin still had to use Gunguir. Thanos wasn't knocked-out, was ready for more, and this fight happened because Thanos wanted to caught the attention of Odin, because he wanted him to cure Thor. I don't say Thanos was holding back or anything, but this feat place him ridicously above the like of Surfer and Warlock, and an average Thor and yeah, Superman.
- Tyrant rolled in a line-up that was composed of Gladiator, Beta Ray Bill, again, Surfer, and some other powerful dudes. Tyrant humiliate them, but wasn't able to put do the same to Thanos, far from that. Does Thanos fleed? Yep. But he threw punch with that beast, and was still all right, even getting the prize he was looking for. Much, much better ending that the humiliation half of the actual Annihilators took, right?
- In the recent Thanos Imperative arc, Lord Mar-Vell one-shotted Magus, who stomped Nova. Mar-Vell stomped both Nova and Surfer. Thanos would have crush this fool, again, if it's what he wanted. At the end, he had other plans, which was to be killed to rejoin his chixx, while killing Mar-Vell at the same time. But is anyone arguing that Mar-Vell WASN'T at his mercy?
That's it. We could argue all day about this, but showings are pretty clear at where Thanos is power-wise.
Sups, Surfer, Thor, or the three combined don't pull a majority over Thanos. Maybe some wins, but certainly not a majority

Poor english, I admit it, but it's a little price to pay to be able to understand it, and being able to write and speak perfectly in french.
Je parle et comprend deux languages, le premier étant particulièrement difficile à apprendre, et toi? 😉

I wouldn't say French was that hard to learn. 🙂 Oh, you mean English?
