I don't think the OE dropped DD there, especially since his OE wasn't anything special in that entire arc.

Your interpretation. We know that DS didn't use the OE on Hank. He did on Doomsday. ANd he used it as a killing ray. Doomsday Died. He stopped moving. A being like doomsday doesn't stop moving just cuz he's hurt. He stops moving if he's knocked out or Dead. DS is a God. He knew Doomsday had died. which is why he went on with his monologue.

In that story, Doomsday was automatically overcoming anyone that attacked him with anything, it's certainly believable that Darkseid went down, however, Doomsday was down first, and written as if he had died. You'd be hard pressed to find a character he couldn't beat.
