Here.

Cool.

Seen the trailer and despite not being familiar with Green Lantern comics I think things are looking good. The suit looks amazing and it needs that CGI look to give it that 'alien' vibe. Reynolds needs to be given a chance, I seen him in Smokin' Aces and he is serious from the first minute to the last in that film and things in that were as outlandish as you can get at times.

thanks guys. wow, i actually like that design...

Wow sweet, looks good!!

Has anyone seen the Mattel figurine of Hal??

looks so shit.

it's a toy. what were you expecting?

Something with a bit more work put into it

the Marvel figurines from Hasbro are better then it.

and the dc classics ones are better than the hasbro ones imo. the GL movie figures are aimed more at kids than collectors i think. any serious collector would want the ring more than the figure, at least imo.

I'd like to have the lantern on my shelf...be a bad-ass lamp...

If you are talking about the Marvel Universe line then keep in mind the figures are smaller (3 3/4 inches as opposed to 6) and half the price of the DC classic ones. Still as long as the figure is wearing a mask I would say the sculpt of the Marvel Universe figures are superior, but because of the small size the faces can get weird if the figure don't have a mask. They also have more point of articulation... which is good if you plan on opening them.

If you are talking about Marvel Legends.... then you are insane. Go get a catscan and an mri. Every aspect of the Marvel Legends figures are superior to the DC classics line.

i was talking about the marvel legends line, yes.

i'd have agreed about the toybiz ones, but the hasbro ones have been a disappointment to me, while the dc ones get better and better. they're the superior figures for me in terms of almost everything bar articulation.

Really? The only thing I like better is the chest joint. Other than that I think pretty much everything, be it sculpt, variety, paint job, hell even the plastic used seems like a lower quality than the Marvel Legends line. They even feel light, cheap and flimsy.

I will say that the accessories a figure comes with are better.

I do like the Icons series, but the general look of the ML just puts me off. For me the DC ones have the superior sculpt, and as far as the plastic thing goes, i know Mattel had horrible problems early on, but from what i've heard the last few waves have really fixed those problems.

As for variety, I honestly have to argue; DC line had stuff like Gentleman Ghost and Kamandi. That's pretty obscure, and at the very least matches Marvel for me.

That, and I'm still waiting for a Jim Lee/Morrison Era Cyclops of decent quality.

Or has that become available lately?

Are any of the 3 3/4 figures any good articulation-wise? I bought a hobgoblin and you can't really bend the legs at the hip or they pop out of the socket. I thought they'd be like my Wolverine Origins comic Deadpool with the wacky ball/joint but I guess not. I haven't bought any other 3 3/4 figures ones because I like to pose them on my desk in comedic positions and you can't kick, bend over, or straddle things if you can't bend your legs properly.

For the Marvel ones i like the 'Marvel Universe' range also some of the stuff they bring out for the movies such as Wolverine Origins -comic series and Iron Man.
