soo according to the trailers and by the looks of abin surs death i wonder if he knows of the prophecy in this movie....and my reasoning is perfectly understandable imo.......from the looks of it he is affected by parallax which means he felt fear and if i re-call abin surs discovery of the prophecy was caused him to feel fear.
We'll have to see how this works out. If Parallax isn't trapped in the power battery on OA, then will the movie GLs have weaknesses to yellow? Or is that something they will find out when they confront the entity?
No one seems to care that Abin Sur's death is re-imagined to tie into the introduction of Parallax. I'm glad people aren't THAT anal.

like i posted above i was assuming that they were just re-adapting his death to fit in with the prophecy....i bet among hs dieing words he mutters something to hal that wont make sense to him but will be about the coming of another color.
i don't believe it will be about any actual war of light but maybe re-adapt the prophecy to fit the coming of the yellow

Because this is Warner Bros. we are talking about, I'm concerned. They're the ones who rushed Clash Of The Titans into a 3D conversion last spring, which drew a firestorm of criticism from the public and other studio heads for making their film look like crap and tarnishing the 3D brand. Then, barely six weeks before opening, they pulled the plug on their 3D conversion of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hollows part I and put it out in 2D, saying they couldn't finish it in time for release.
They couldn't possibly back out again on Green Lantern, could they? Just 2 1/2 months before release... 😗

So did I, I'd be more worried about how well Reynolds interacts with the CGI world and characters than the suit. That may be the biggest hurdle too overcome with the flak that the Star Wars PT had to deal with in that respect.
The humour elements are still upsetting some people though I never get why those first glimpses of humour were such a bad thing? DC is generally accepted as the dark and brooding one yet when they try to inject a bit of levity it is sneered at. Very strange...

I don't know what feedback they are getting that are making them anxious about the suit. Have they concluded the mask looks too cheesy? Especially since we don't see any other GLs in the trailer using one...
Maybe something closer to a Kyle Rayner construct is in the works.
