I do like the Icons series, but the general look of the ML just puts me off. For me the DC ones have the superior sculpt, and as far as the plastic thing goes, i know Mattel had horrible problems early on, but from what i've heard the last few waves have really fixed those problems.As for variety, I honestly have to argue; DC line had stuff like Gentleman Ghost and Kamandi. That's pretty obscure, and at the very least matches Marvel for me.
That, and I'm still waiting for a Jim Lee/Morrison Era Cyclops of decent quality.

The Icons line was great, and DC does have some pretty obscure characters. It sucks that the smaller Infinite Heroes DC has aren't that great. I love the smaller scale MU figs.
