I liked the movie...and from the begining i had no impression he was alive...since they kept to the story of him drowning.....there was no info about him surviving(just that he came back)...so from the get go...i dont think he was just alive and a normal maniac......i gotta say he was one hell of a marksman.....the end could be a dream sequence.....but i don think they will get the same actors in this day and age...so i think if there is a sequel....it wont be a dream sequence

stabbed and having the back of your head grindedI dunno about, I think he did but then again it coulda been like the dream sequences in the others..but then again you actually knew it was a dream sequence at the end, like part 1 you think the chick got dragged under but then she wakes up...there was no waking up at the end of the F13 remake so I believe she might be but ya never no. It's just nice to see a male survivor for once 🙂
My sentiments exactly, it was finally nice to see a male survivor, and he wasn't some nerd or loser either. Btw, I really enjoyed the final fight with Jared & Jason. It didn't look phony or unbelievable 'cause in reality they are barely an inch apart in height. 😂

I think the whole thing about him drowning is that he didn't really drown, but Pamela saw it as even though he didn't, he could have, and based on that principle, the teens who return to the camp must die. Jason was never a zombie from the beginning in the original franchise or this franchise, he's just a guy who is hard to kill. I don't think he ever drowned, actually, because he couldn't still be alive if he did.

Sorry if i disagree...but thats not how i see it...and from someone who saw the originals in the movies.....he was always a zombie like/supernatural killer.....there are too many instances of him being maimed and killed....and just because #6 actually had his corpse animated...does not mean he was not supernatural in a way before....i dont think it needs an explanation thats not given in the movie.....i think its meant to be unexplained or taken at face value...he drowned...came back...got maimed...came back..etc...and if this jason comes back...i dont need to see dead flesh and maggots to think he is a zombie/supernatural killer..but we all have our opinons...and thats a good thing
People saw Jason in no.6 and onwards as zombie Jason was because he started moving like a zombie and his face looked like a corpse, he had the face of a corpse and yet was still alive....thats why he was Jason Zombie. Before that he was just normal (kinda), he didn't move like a zombie and his face though disfigured didn't look corpsy. Before he was just supernatural 😬 But thats just my opinion.
Exactly, he didn't die until around part 6. I think he can be just as cool while alive as he is while dead, and the reboot is proof of that. But when he becomes a zombie, I hope they don't go a Jason X route where it seems like it's easy for him to lose limbs. I'd rather they go a FVJ route where he was pretty much able to take a shitload of damage, and keep coming. Albeit, without losing limbs.
Sorry dude, I'm liable to get some things mixed up, I haven't seen ALL the movies just yet, and only know what I've been able to read over the internet. I'm still new to these mythos, but am learning more about the series everyday.
Still, he did seem much more powerful after returning from the dead, and I think he shouldn't seem like one of those zombies that has limbs that are easy to lose if he takes enough damage (i.e again Jason X).

Whatever you do...stay away from part 8 and 9 if you haven't seen them...I mean part 7 is pretty crappy but these 2 just really, really suck @ss, especially part 9...everything about it was just so wrong. The only good bits were the scene where you see the book from the evil dead series and freddy's clawed hand popping out and the ground and pulling Jasons mask down to hell a the end
I actually already say that one on TV, and while it's of course not the best of the series, it was pretty okay. I plan on watching all of them. To be honest, I want to be totally in the loop, if you can understand that. My mom plans on ordering the boxset, which is movies 1-8...and she already has Jason X & FVJ, so we'll pretty much have them all then.
Cool, I would've been allowed to watch practically any scary movie when I was younger (I'm 15 now, just so you know) but for some reason I was always scared of them. Now I can't get enough of watching them. I love these movies now...I wish I hadn't wasted so many years being an idiot.
So, steve, what are some ideas you have for the direction of the sequel?
I'm 18 now...19 in April which seems to be approaching pretty quick, but I have my own way of seeing movies, I'm glad I didn't but part 9 😬 or 8, others were recorded apart from 1, 8 and 9
My direction...I guess maybe show the ending of Part 1 and then show if the sister is dead or not...leave the dude alone and let him live because tbh he was the only smart one in the film...next to Jason. With this one I want there to be a story rather than sex, blood and some stupid blonde bimbo killing Jason...I'm hoping for another male survivor, with the original trilogy there always seemed to be a chick survivor.
I like the way you think. See, I feel the exact same...I want a story, not just the same formula. And why not show a character drinking and not getting killed, or being like Clay....not being a nerd or anything, but still surviving. I'm tired of the only characters surviving actually totally innocent or being nerds. Even good people drink, or smoke, or have sex.
Btw, does anyone else find it awesome that the practical joker from part 2 with the red hair didn't get killed? He was pretty likable.
