No, we don't. We use the characters from the time of the thread op. This isn't dcnu which is another character altogether. Black Adam wins.

Yes we do unless it's stated in the OP which characters we are using. Since this is the current versions of each character, Superman wins.

We generally use the current versions of a character unless stated otherwise. I believe this was discussed due to Hulk/WWH threads. It's also to limit the amount of duplicate threads.

I really don't think it matters too much for this thread though. I haven't seen too many DC characters who have been amped or depowered. Though Aquaman has had some great Nu52 showings.

So using previous and Nu52 feats should be applicable, especially for characters such as BA who have very few Nu52 appearances. I really don't see an issue or reason for confusion.

Superman wins decisively in a punchfest. Just like he beat the shit out of Adam's equal Captain Marvel in only decisive fight among all three.

And before someone starts shouting Eclipso amp, it was shown in the very same crossover that Superman's powers actually weaken Eclipso as Eclipso weakens Superman.

There is already a Nu Black Adam versus a Nu Superman so I guess that doesn't matter.

You know what else is funny? An all out Captain Marvel failing to beat Superman with a cheapshot and several attacks while Superman was weakened by kryptonite, drained by Nightshade just before that and took on an entire legion of villains and heroes including Captain Atom, Power Girl, John Stewart, Major Force and Mongul and where his magical vulnerability was specifically mentioned.

Here is Cap ordered to go all out.

Superman drained before that.

And then the same weakened superman knocks out cap off panel with a cheapshot and steals his clothes.

So an all out Cap can't beat a weakened superman while Superman was severally handicapped but Superman takes him out casually when he wants?

That's superman talking that Cap has the advantage due to magical nature of his powers and he was drained at that moment anyway. Specifically stated to be All out Cap couldn't beat kryptonite weakened, drained Superman with a cheapshot and several punches to the face with that advantage but Superman beat him by a cheapshot. Now what does that tells you? Don't hang up on a single statement too much.

There are several examples like that. A weakened Superman restrains Blaze while she chokes Black Adam with one hand.

The best thing about these showings? They are written by the same writer Jerry Ordway who was the primary writer of Power Of Shazam series.
