What has Sephiroth done to come close?
Summon a meteor (NOT under his own power).
Hold back holy, Holding back an attack and being able to survive it are TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT things as i have already stated.....
Kuja survived being attacked by his own blast, ultima, AFTER being in combat with the protagonist party.
Now for the sake of argument, we will say Holy = Ultima.
Why? Because holy is FFVII ULTIMATE magic. Ultima is FFIX ULTIMATE magic. Thats why.

Sephiroth is INCAPABLE of destroying a planet. He is in fact (apparently) capable of making it float about space in what ever direction he wants, sort of a star trek voyager thing going on here? Lost in space looking for home.
Facts you didn't (or cant be bothered) to know about Kuja.
He CAN instantly teleport, the light is an after image of the spell.
He CAN instantly teleport other people AT WILL, even if he cant see them. (How else did he save Zidane and co who was in a different dimension with Necron.)
He CAN fire as many Ultima beams as he wants, at least 4 shots per go (as seen in the Youtube FMV)
Ultima beams ARE very fast, watch the trance scene again, observe how fast the camera moves to keep up with the attack. Its not the easiest thing to notice.

You might want to do a little research. The creators have stated that Omnislash v5 happens in the blink of an eye. That whole sequenc was very slowed down. Then we have the fact that Sephiroth wasn't giving any effort in that fight, of course he wouldn't gop full speed.
Also, in Crisis Core Sephiroth teleports. AC Sephiroth > CC Sephiroth, meaning that he can teleport, sorry. 🙂

He covered the sky blocking the sunlight for a while, no damage was sustained ANYWHERE in the world by it.
