id/Kandy and Leo/Scoob, just so you both know, this matter isn't completely settled. If there is evidence that the Crown isn't standard equipment for Cog than id's prep would stand.

If he has access to the crown then they are drafting an era specific character, if they are drafting a powerless character then he can't have access to the crown (as that is power in itself ala Boy Blue w/sword)

This is almost identical to the reason our first match with ID/Kandy was postponed, they had drafted one version of Cable then used a different version of Cable's prep base.

The first time around we decided, in the interest of not taking an undue advantage, to offer a postponement.

The fact that we waited a couple of months only to have them repeat the same illegal prep move with a different character is laughable.

In case anyone forgot, they drafted Classic Cable, then used Cable & Deadpool era tech powered Cable's base for prep ... if it was illegal then, why is it any different now?

Because in this case we drafted a version that actually possesses the equipment in question. We drafted Current Cog. We used his stuff in prep, which is legal ala-miracle machine, and in battle (which was illegal.)

So you draft the King of Hell in the 5 second period where he takes his all powerful crown off ... then just put it back on?

Again, how is that any different than drafting Hal Jordan while not wearing his GL ring for 10 pts, then having him put on the ring and genetically restructuring everyone into Kryptonians (or whatever)

I'm pretty sure that would be illegal and what you're doing with the crown is no different.

WTF do you mean "Five second period"? You mean the "five second period" he was WEARING the crown? Because he doesn't wear it in any other appearances besides that one time. It's a base-item, nothing more.

Meh... to be fair, we have no idea if the crown is standard equipment.

Batman has loads of WMD type stuff in the batcave that isn't standard equip, but that he'd have access to in this tourney for prep.

I'd rather not vote on this without clearing this up tbh.

It's a plot device that is part of a base. Every Hero has stuff in their base that is uber but they've only used like once or twice. Medusa Head anyone? It's his. He doesn't use it but once. I'ts not like he's bringing the crown out into the battle field. Isn't this the same team that gave me fits over the miracle machine? I see a pattern.
