and yes ive trained with a katana for about three years, and you shuld know, even a sword wieghing around 3-5 kgs like an average katana can easily weigh a HELL of a lot more than that because of the levering affect of the long blade as opposed to the grip. also, normal swords are rather thinner than u might think, even two hand longswords{think braveheart} are only a couple of millimeteres thick. if you take a sloid block of metal like cloud's sword, enormously think, enormously wide and extremely long, with no weight deductions, it can EASILY weigh a ton. not to mention how much its gonna weigh when u have to SWING it, due to the leverage affect.
Sorry, but I have to disagree with you there, Heavy though it is, Cloud's sword is nowhere near a ton in weight, 3 reasons, firstly, if it weighd a tonne, then there is no way that the bike he was on would have gone anywhere, #2: it's got moving parts and mechanics in there, therefore it's hollow in some areas. #3: even if it where completely solid and rigid, there's no way that the sword is large enough to weigh a tonne unless it's incredibly dense, I'm talking like 3 or 4 times the density of any standard metal used in todays constructions.
Besides that, there's no proof either way of the weight of the sword, but I wouldn't put it at any more than 150kg, 200kg at the very most, otherwise he couldn't move it the way he does in the air due to inertia.
im not talking about his sword in advent children, i am talking about his buster sword. his bike isnt a normal bike, looking at the stunts he can pull off it, its final FANTASY people! and no HUMAN can swing a 200 kg sword, either, and yet cloud isnt HUMAN, and the sword does weigh a ton.
any proof about that? cloud however is still human. he bleed, breathing, etc. or maybe you want to say he's not a normal human? however, cloud is still human. he's no god, demon, etc.
