"There is something else, the BV-50 could already be there it could be a trap. Is that a possibility?" Denz (hopefully present) turned to Vera. "A vision?" He arched an eyebrow, and turned his attention across the gathering. 'Not the best way to put that, Vera.' he thought. "Perhaps you should tell us all?" Denzral stated. Hopefully removing the doubt I'm sure they were beginning to once more feel.
"Listen!" Vera-Kin demands, throwing up her hands to accentuate the need for silence, projecting her voice over the edge of the table. "I understand your distrust of the Jedi, as we represent the Galactic Republic that Alura exists without. But we would never initiate such a convoluted plan to draw Alura into our fold! It is not our intention and it never was. Once the Federation has been repelled, Alura will return to its previous and independent existence, though perhaps with some adjustments made to better defend it against future wars. We will move on to help other worlds in need, and if you so choose, you will never hear from us again once this war is over.
"Now, I did not mean to arouse suspicions towards the Elerians by my comment. The ways of the Jedi may be strange to you, but believe me when I say that the Force has sent me a glimpse of things to come. My intent was simply to bolster the confidence of Air Marshall Dowder and see what could be done with what starforce Alura does possess. But I will share with all of you what I have seen."
Vera-Kin closes her eyes again. She does not wish to mention the statue she saw of herself, for fear of instigating more suspicion and distrust.
"I was presented two possibilities. In one, Alura is intact and thriving, having fought off the Federation. In the other, Alura is in flames, purged of all life, made into a worldwide foundry for producing these vile machines that march to war against you. They were mutually exclusive events; only one may happen. At the hinge of these events stood a man, one whom I did not recognize. But now that the leaders of the Aluran fighting forces have gathered, I do. It is the Air Marshall."
Amidst groans and rallies to begin arguing again, Vera-Kin continues.
"I do not mean to discount the other nations of Alura when I share this with you. All must stand united against the invasion. But the destruction of the Control Ship and the disruption of the signal have been something that the Jedi have thought about since we first discerned that the invasion was going to happen, after finally cracking the conspiracy that has led to all this misery and disaster. It seems ridiculous and implausible to entertain it, but there must be something that the starforce can do to bring it down."
Vlad nods his head.
"The control ship is a major strategical area for us, and we ask you to keep it in mind. The droids are relentless and almost infinite, we on the other hand are not. We can win this battle, we can the other. With great strategical planning we can win even ones after. However, we will never win this war by simply destroying every one of those droids. Right now, we have no way of penetrating the control ship. We must deal with what is at hand. However, it will come into importance later. Remember that we Jedi aren't here on a vacation, or by accident. We are here to make sure that this planet is not destroyed by the Federation and to make sure peace and freedom reigns here. I hope you remember that, and do not distrust us in the future. We are fighting one enemy here"
Denzral places his hands on the table and raises his voice so everyone can hear him clearly. "Forgive my intrusion, however if for no other reason than to preserve your way of life, the people of Alura, consider what she has said, and be mindfull of the outcome of your decisions. The future has been written, and there are two possible outcomes. It is in all our best hopes that Alura does not fall to the latter fate of destruction. This world, and the proud nations upon which it sustains must make the right choice. Join together, and fight, but make use of all your options now, whilst the enemy believes it is assured of victory. You must show that the your planet is united in eradicating this threat. An attack against the Control Ship is a viable target. But not without risk."
"The control ship is their weakness, the starfighters are the best things with a shot at it. These are two things that can't be denied, but at this moment the security of Myconus and the defense of the shield generators are our priority," Wentar calmly states. "We can't let mistrust get between us, not at this crucial win or lose moment."
"Well..." begins the Marshall, before the protests from the others drown him out.
"Under the terms of the mutual defnce treaty, all weaponry must be openly declared!" protests Shan.
"That rule does not apply to experimental weaonry under development," says Dowder.
"Oh," says the Dorgonath, "'experimental' and 'in development' but in enough production to outfit your entire fighter force?"
"We considered that now might be a good time to test it..." says Dowder. "I don't see why you are so upset. If none of you knew about them, then I am pretty sure that neither the Trade Federation nor the Techno Union did either."
