USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (RENEGADES)- Battlefield

Denz I don't think calling the council while the Feds are in orbit, possibly able to intercept transmissions, is wise.

I still don't know if there is much time between these events. If the Shield defence, Control Ship Assault and the attack on the Fed army will happen at different times or if we have to split our forces up to make it to each battle.

Yeah I said I'd do nothing and stayed in the room.

I still think we should all go to the generator.

Working out the timing of each event is in fact a matter of simple logic. The omly thing you literally need to do is down the command ship, butt hat can only happen if...

... and if you follow the chain of 'ifs' back you'll get back to where you need to start.

You mean figure out what actually needs to be done in order to make sure that the control ship can be destroyed, or make us able to try?

Err, both, really.

So we can only down the Control Ship if... we can bring it close to the ground guns and we can only do that if... I get lost on how to bring it close to the ground guns.

Hmmm, we need to think of a reason why the Control Ship would come in closer and on top of that how long we could last against their Vultures.

Yup, that is step one. But you've already seen the point at which they will descend close to the guns.

It lowers into orbit, closer to the guns, when it feels that it needs to intervene in the fighting to turn things in favor of the battle droids. For example, we threw all the Jedi into battle against the Hailfires, and they disabled the shield temporarily to shoot through.

So we need to make the Federation ships feel that they need to intervene, or present them with a worthy target. That will bring them into lower orbit so that we can initiate the attack run.

So, in theory, we need to win the ground battle and make sure all plans to destroy the generator fail. The tide of war is going to go on our side, and the fleet will start to descent lower in order to intervene...

Yes, if we repel or destroy the BV50 when it tries to get the shield generator, and if the initial ground fighting starts to turn in our favor, the Control Ship with the others to handle the ground battle and the shield generator.

Bespin's thought is much better then mine. 😛

The army we send to defend Myconus would be a worthy target to them. But if what we think is true and they send the BV-50 when we reveal ourselves then we need to be careful with our numbers.

How many Jedi do we send to the generator to keep the BV-50 at bay, how many do we send to defend Myconus to turn the battle in our favor and force the Feds hand and do we send any to assist the Elerians?

Xeth has only one option for himself, there.

Aye that's true. If the Jedi are equipped with the torpedoes I feel Wentar's Deadshot would be a nifty addition with the Elerians.

The BV50 is superbly good. Can we even destroy it if all the Jedi came to the generator?

And for the ground forces, is it wise to attack the droid army head on just like that? We're outnumbered, and we could use the diversity of our troops to our advantage. Lure the droids into the forest and then attack them from the front and from the sides inside the forest. The armored troops in the front and the speeders and riders from the sides.

Our troops would be more vulnerable to a forest fire then theirs, if the forest catches fire during the fighting our forces would be screwed.

The BV-50 is ridiculous in terms of firepower and lethality, but it is not a god as the Cultists see it. It can be brought down. Against three Jedi (Vera-Kin, Kiu, and myself) we managed to land a single blow, and we did not know what we were dealing with yet, in a situation that was firmly against us. Now we will have things the way we want them, with Jedi who are prepared to fight it.

As for halting the march to Myconus, I feel we should discuss things with the military leaders to plan things out more clearly with that. I cannot imagine that they would be just throwing their forces at the droids until things are ended. We need a decisive victory, as the Dorgonath Battlemaster is reiterating.

And Deadshot would be nifty but we'll see, Wentar.

As mentioned before, ther Feds will go for the shield generator as soon as it is clear there is going to be continued resistance. There'll be plenty of time for the battle after that.

So, part 1 is- stop the BV-50!

So are we all, bar the ones heading for the space battle, going to the genertor?

Space battle wont start until the two armies meet. Still, it's good that the Jedi can go in full force against the BV-50 without worrying about Myconus yet.

I believe an ambush is in order.

I believe the same.

Vera-Kin will inform the conference of the Jedi plan, that eliminating the BV-50 would cause the Federation cruisers to enter low orbit once more to try taking out the generators themselves, allowing the Elerians their opportunity.

"In full force, the Jedi will go to the generator," Vera-Kin says. "I ask that you remove your men from the area around the generator. They cannot hope to stop the BV-50. We do not want their lives extinguished."
