USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (RENEGADES)- Battlefield

Started by Bespin Bart224 pages

Honestly? Read back, Jedireaper, not much has happened! The crib notes are that we have escaped with our lives from the starfighter, blown it up, and analyzed that the Cultist forces and Techno Union droids are moving in on an industrial world called Alura.

Xeth is troubled by his leg, but knows that his superior athletic capabilities will not cause it to be too much of a problem for him.

"We must go to Alura," Xeth says. "Us renegades have an obligation to the Galaxy as a whole, not just the Republic, to stop the tyranny being created by the Techno Union and its conspiracy. The Jedi are free to join us."

Would we need any cover or something? A bunch of force users rocking up on their planet for almost no reason other then to 'stop and invasion fleet' might seem weird.

Anyone asks we mind trick them, but in my opinion "stop an invasion fleet" is a pretty good reason to give for why we are on a planet.

They are a bit insular there, actually. They don't even necessarily trust each other, not being unified.

I dunno, how many invasion fleets are flying around?

Since the planet is in civil war apparently, or at least not unified, I could see whoever we tell thinking we're opposition spys sent to make them paranoid... Come to think about is. Do we know how many different factions are on Alura?

They'd probably listen a bit more with an invasion to hand...

... but you might conaider it's kinda late once the invasion has already begun.

As far as you know the planet is not actually in civil war but no-one's Savoir Faire roll was good enough to get moee details about the world at this point.

Then you should refuse to get involved unless you see the evidence of it being attacked for yourself and/or the planet requests your help.

But you woulkd be very derelict of your duty to defend the Republic if you allowed the Cult to build a new industrial base.

I fully understand I need to join them in order for the story to continue for my character... I just don't like visiting a "free" planet and waving a lightsabre around... just as I don't like mindtricking people when they ask what we are doing.

I guess my character is just tight assed.

As I say, then don't just go there and wave a lightsabre around! Likewise refuse to Mind Trick them (not actually sure if any of you can do that, in any case). Do it the Jedi way.

Hm, this is looking more and more like Obi-Wan's visit to Kamino, nothing to go on other then knowing there will be baddies there somewhere.

Xeth, of course, is rather willing to be UN-Jedi about the matter...

Un-Jedi? He's gonna go Sith on Alura?

Un-Jedi rather than anti-Jedi, I hope.

Ah! My mistake. What does Un-Jedi mean anyway?

I take it to mean knock some heads together until we get some answers, well that's what I'm planning on doing.

"I will come... As long as we do this in a civilized way, Xeth"

Vlad will surely come with the renegades.

Ush, are our Jedi authorities still in place? Could we say we have been sent to investigate? Whenever we say that we are Jedi and came to investigate, do they check some sort of reference or notification from the Jedi Council? If not, will the Jedi Council frown upon us using Jedi authority while we are supposed to be on leave?

You don't have any authority outside the Republic so that is moot. Ypuu'd need the co-operation of the world in question for that to matter. You may consider yourselves as official representatives from the Republic... but officals there unofficially, if you get my drift.

I see.
So diplomatics or status are out of question there?

The should at least a bit respect a Jedi even in the outer rims thought, no?

They are insular there; they have no wish to be tied into the Republic, so it is more likely they fear the power of a Jedi than they are to respect your profession.

Then the renegade way of dealing with things there is the wisest way to go 😛

Or you may consider it an opportunity to demonstrate the good intentions of the jedi.
