Sparnik actually improves after his legs are removed, and comes to later that day. He calls for you when he is able.

Sparnik is resting somewhat comfortably in a side cave, away from the rest of his people. Underneath the blankets, you can see that his legs end abruptly, but there is no blood so the medics have done good work.

"Con," Sparnik says. "I hear you have killed LaKresha."

"Yes, she fell last, after her men."

Sparnik smiles.

"Then it was worth it. I release you, Con. You are free to pursue your mission to Luon. With LaKresha gone, I can retake the throne of Vono'k and establish my democracy."

Do I have any financial means?

No. Sparnik spent the last of his meager funds securing weapons for his fighters.

Well, I will have to find some way to get to Luon. Could Sparnik help in any way?

He can see if he has any pilots amongst his people, but they have no ships.

Maybe we can steal one from the "Anarchists". Are they even still anarchists?

Without LaKresha they are just rabble-rousers. That last battle will have broken their leadership and coordination.

But do they have ships?

Their dropships are not space-worthy... but you do know that there are ships in the starport, where you first arrived on Vono'k. They have not stopped travel to their world.

Hmm, I guess i could steal or take one of those.

Certainly more possible at this point in time.

And does he have a pilot for me then?

He has a man who used to pilot freighters. It will have to do.

Better than nothing. Offto the spaceport then.

Sparnik's medics, having stabilized Sparnik, insist that they tend to your wounds after the battle you have fought. Your cuts are cleaned and stitched, your burns soothed. With that, you are free to go.

How do you want to get to the capital? The Grotos are combing the mountains for any sign of Sparnik and his men. They may have brought transportation but it would involve fighting them for it.

Also, the pilot with you is only a mook. He cannot help you fight without extreme risk to his own life, and without him you will not be getting anywhere easily.

Can I set a trap for one of the smaller troops?
