Well compared to Gavin Hoods previous films from what i've heard they did great.

Jason Momoa is just as good if anybody has watched Stargate Atlantis.

According to Deadline Hollywood, Lionsgate and Millenium Films have picked the actor to play the lead role in Marcus Nispel's reinvention of Robert E. Howard's Conan and it's 30-year-old Jason Momoa, who may best be known for his run on "Stargate Atlantis" and who also appears in HBO's upcoming mini-series "Game of Thrones."

At the same time, Latino Review says that an offer has been put out to Mickey Rourke to play Conan's father Corin.

The movie is scheduled to start production in Bulgaria on March 15.

Right look or not...i think can be handled on set with a scar or something.......but i agree that he really needs to bulk up.....maybe arnold set the bar...and i just cant see a slender conan.....who knows?

I look at him, and I don't see it either.
Especially since Conan has roots that are Celtic-Germanic.

For me personally he really needs to bulk up a bit.

The guy is definitely to small but that can all be fixed within a few weeks. Seriously, these are actors. They are like athletes. They get paid to work out. Just like 300 a few weeks at the Gym Jones gym and this guy will be cut enough for Conan. Lean and cut is enough to pull off a Conan image. Camera angles, lighting and casting will do the rest to portray the illusion of a larger than life Barbarian. I'm not at all worried about the casting. I'm more concerned about the Director. I'm sure this movie will be shit because Bret Ratner directed, Rush Hour 3. That was the product of a hack. His previous works may not have been hack jobs but, Rush hour 3 definitely was. I can't forgive a blatant hack job. This is why i have no love or respect for Shitsberg and Ceorge Glucas.

Ratner is'nt directing this new movie its just no one has'nt changed the damn title.
