naruto hater; naruto learned kage bushin with out clones, in the forest of death orochimaru sealed the nine tails chakra and he still defeated the rain ninjas or what ever village they where with shadow clones, he defeated kiba with shadow clones, also yamato was supervising narutos futon rasengan training to make sure the nine tailed chakra didnt came out, so he did that with his own chakra... and if u give pein unlimited chakra... give naruto riningan or whatever his eyes are called that i bet in sage mode with those eyes he will own him 2
Okay first of all, the term "genius" means smart, like super duper smart. The only one in the list that is actually super duper smart is Shikamaru! Shikamaru has got the strategy in his battles and everyone else does have strategy, but not as good as Shikamaru's.
Naruto is not a genius. He is persistent. There's a difference.
Lee is also persistent.
Sasuke isn't a genius. All he is is a rogue ninja avenging his brother and his will to avenge his brother is what's driving him to be that strong.
Neji isn't a genius either! Neji is strong and yes, he's smart, but he's not a genius. He got beat by Naruto from an uppercut. Kay? Kay.
Shikamaru is a definite genius. THAT is why HE was the only Genin in the 1st Chunin Exams to become a Chunin! No one else was a Chunin, but him for the first round. He used flying kunai to stretch his shadows against temari. He watched the fingers of the sound flute girl to figure out the pattern. He was once mentioned to be THE smartest person in the Land of Fire. He leaned his head back during the shadow possession so that the other person would hit their head on the wall and faint!! He's smart!
Shikamaru is the only genius that should be mentioned simply because the whole Naruto Shinobi World knows it. HE alone was the only one that got promoted to Chunin because of his smarts.

Naruto may have crazy chakra, but he also trains hard. He learns tech quickly because he learns well through his body. He also made Jiraiya look bad by completely mastering sage mode despite the nine tails screwing with his melding with the frogs, and much faster I might add. Oh, and he developed the FRS at the same time.
Combat wise, he has shown genius as well. Tricking Kiba and Neji in the exams, with Neji being regarded by many as the top ninja in the tournament. He did the same to Kakuzu, Pain, and Zabuza in different ways.
I find the geniuses in Naruto to be laughable except for Shikamaru.

There's also Minato, blah blah blah whatever.

Sokka and Azula - no one has to explicitly say they are geniuses with high scores - you can tell they simply are masters at what they do because of their actions, not unproven descriptive words spouted by other characters. And yes naruto and sasuke are geniuses because of how talented they were and how fast they improved at a young age.
Naruto is the youngest out of the 4 people that know rasengan. He learned it im the shortest amount of time any of the others learned it in. Plus he is the only ninja ever to mix elemental chakra with it yes he is a genius.
Sasuke nothing really has to be said about him his growth rate and talent speaks for itself.
In the naruto world genius is synonymous with the word prodigy and out of the genin 11

Shino was said to be a genius because of how he imcorporated stratrgy with his bug techniques.
Of course by the time shippuden comes along kishi decided to cast a shadow over everyone except naruto and sasuke so we didnt get to watch them grow as ninja

IMO, this is cop out writing. The audience is simply told they learned these things at whatever age and are meant to just accept them as geniuses, even though Sasuke shows himself to have outrageously poor basic reasoning skills and Naruto always has to be told not to prematurely jump headfirst into a fight and almost always wastes the chakra that the Nine-Tails gives him with his dumb ass head-first mentality. Nine-Tails is wasted on that kid. And as for Sasuke, he could never see through Itachi's lies, and then when he is told, makes the most ridiculous decision he could have by wanting revenge on Konoha. So...Itachi is just....more of a genius? What? I'm not impressed. Sasuke's decisions are so bad 80% of the time, and it also makes how sense how his chidori can be conducted in the ground. What cheap writing.
Guy Sensei is one of the only characters that has a true understanding of the world, from what I've seen. He pretty much taught himself to be invincible, physically and emotionally. He is also quite the critical thinker, even by Itachi's standards. He puts more value into hard work than talent, because Thar's how the real world works. And he grew from being insecure to invincibly secure about himself, despite his limits. Most-well rounded character IMO

Irrelevant in terms of genius. The reason Sakura did not develop is simple: Kakashi could not care less about teaching her anything special.
Indeed they're all neato. But Sakura is the second best medical ninja in the world at this point. That is well above any of her peers outside of Team 7.

She is strong now Yes but when she was younger she wasnt anything special definitely not a geniuss by any means. Sakura was never seen as extraordinary

In 2 and a half years she went from barely being able to heal a fish to becoming a better medic-nin than Chiyo. 3 years is all it took for her to reach a level of physical strength that is apparently greater than Tsunade's.
The only reason she wasn't a child prodigy or called a genius is because she was more concerned with Sasuke and her forehead, instead of focusing on her strengths.

Her chakra controlling capabilities exceeded both Sasuke and Naruto are a genin.
Had Kakashi bothered to teach her anything she probably could have pulled it off rather well. But Tsunade is the better match anyway.

sakura was smart but her abilities were never regarded as extraordinary. what could kakashi teach her honestly i dont see her being able to do any of the things kakashi could do taijutsu wise, ninjutsu and genjutsu wise. sakura was useless back then, oh wow she can walk on trees and water better than naruto and sasuke how is that gonna help her in a fight.
by the way i started this thread when i was in 10th grade. surprised to see its still going on. Not many people that were on here are still on here now oh how time flies.
