One thing of note, when threads are closed due to bitching and moaning, who's the one person that is almost always part of the cause, ie the constant ingredient if you will.

It's become a hilarious predictable pattern; I know I'm not the first person to mention this either.

Not that so much as the fact that in this forum A-Level canon is basically ignored when it comes to Star Wars. Not including EU is realistic, but ignoring Movie level canon on the basis that it's not a movie is something else entirely.

Personally I think including the novels, as done in the Star Wars forum, is a bit silly anyways, but it surely makes sense not to include it here.

I was fine with your posts until now. In fact, I haven't had a problem with anything you've posted until now. I actually got a laugh at you mocking RJ's smilies. Imp is a damn good mod. Imp is 100% correct into telling RJ to not respond in kind to your insults. WTF should a mod be telling him if not that?

Now, if I were a mod, I'd issue a warning to both had I told them already to pipe it down IF they continued to insult each other like you two have. That's pretty much the only thing Imp can do better...but that borders on being too strict...and Imp's laid back so I can see why he's being nice about it.

Scythe is wise in advising the ignore option. Consider that if RJ makes you that pissed.

Well, he doesn't know how to use smilies then. Cause he always uses quite offensive ones in the situation, I am sure once or twice he tried to pass of using one of those by pretending to him it means something else. Silly, really. But yes, ignore function is the way to go...with RJ, his trolling and baiting is after all, not punished.

It's no secret that RJ and I are friends, even outside of KMC. However, that does not mean that I have been letting him get away with breaking the rules. I'm the most lenient moderator on KMC, and that's why I told you to stop bashing instead of outright giving you a warning. Any other mod would have done so. You want objectivity from me? Also rule breaking. Regardless if it is in self-defense, the option of not replying, placing people on ignore, or asking to desist was not utilized. All of which deserve all but a slap on the wrist.

One would think that the insinuating posts done by RJ would garner a warning, one warning per self-defense claim and a small temp-ban should have been around by now, but we've seen none of that. I've crossed paths with Placidity a few times, and have not seen such acts of him being an ass to others, only RJ, but things happen like this all the time.

Sigh, regardless of how many times one insults someone, or however many times the report button is pressed, the victim card can only take you so far, as we've seen.

I appreciate your politeness, Scythe. I admit that sometimes it looks like I'm taking sides in certain situations, but I promise that I never have been. I want everyone here to enjoy posting, but I just dont understand why all the drama has to always, eventually, ensue.

I made the MVF Social thread so we can vent our emotions and frustrations therein and not derail an active thread. Why not just take it out there? I want everyone in here to honestly critique me as a mod so that I can learn from you guys and be that much better as a mod. I'm not a side taker, if that's what I've come off as. Scythe, I must say that I feel that I crossed no line that the person I was debating with hadn't crossed against me first and repeatedly.

I cannot regret too much returning fire when I have tried time and time again to have a reasonable debate with someone, they can't and turn to cheap childish insults.... then they complain the when the appropriate amont of stick has been given back.

In a non-PIS environment (I.E., characters aren't held back by their moral obligations), I would say that any character with enough power in the force to lift a man into the air, has a very, very solid chance of winning.

Comic Spidey would be a beast though, even against force sensitives.

And unlike SW, the movies are based on the EU material, not the other way round.

And for whoever made the comment about the star wars books making sense not being in the movie forum, I agree, to an extent.

But there's a difference between the EU, seperate from Lucas' universe novels, and the non-EU movie-level canon novels, the only novels that are that level being the novelizations of the movies themselves.
