That is only 1 bad movie out of like 12 that he'd made. That is a far smaller ratio then any other director that made that many films.

Eyes Wide Shut is not bad.

Every single Kubrick movie is a masterpiece and so is Eyes Wide Shut.

Eyes wide shut is awful. The plot sucks and the subplot (freaky party) is to strong to just be ignored.

Those directors are very good choices but I'm a bit disappointed that Tarantino or Kubrick aren't even mention in that list. Oh well, it comes down to choice of the board members 😐

There are two directors I believe are worth mentioning here. One of them is the legendary Akira Kurosawa. If you like Japanese cinema Akira's name is notorious. The other one is Fritz Lang a truly master of classic German movies during the 20s and the 30s (before WWII) a very good visionary and truly talented man during his era.

> Silverfighter.

I made the poll and missed em out rather stupidly.
I guess if the mod wants to update, fix the poll thats cool.
Otherwise its out of my hands.

I love Kubrick, but eyes wide shut was a pretty weak effort, especially by his standards.

Peter Jackson! and Tim Burton!

Tarrantino has directed 4 movies.........yeah.....I don't believe that qualifies him to be put on the same list as legendary directors.

Have you ever heard the saying "It's not quantity, it's quality"? Those 4 movies that he directed (and wrote) are considered 4 of the best films ever made (well, best directed, anyway). I think that him being so admirably recognized for just those 4 movies should be enough for him to be considered legendary, which he is. Don't be so narrow-minded

I think it's too soon to declare Tarentino as one of the best of all time, he's definately one of the best of our time...but of all time, that will take several more movies before we can say this with any certainty.

Yeh he can still flop. Well theres nothing special about Kill Bill's story.
Hated Pulp Fiction and didnt have the patience for Jackie Brown or whatever its called! So 🙄
I think the Editors in Tarantino's movies are the real artists. Thou he has some input in that of course but they do all the work.

I AM A LORD OF THE RINGS FREAK SO I HAVE TO SAY PETER JACKSON IS DA BEST

TARRANTINO HAS HADSOME GREAT MOVIES ASWELL BUT I AGREE WITH SAYING HE CANT BE ONE OF THE GREATS COZ HE HAS ONLY MADE MOVIES BUT THEY DO ROCK

There are no editors in Tarantino's movies. Just him. Yea he does have editors that actually do the physical act of editing, but they dont do the "what" factor of editing, just the "how" factor. Once he has his first director's cut, then he will not cut a single thing no matter what people say.

Also, Kill Bill has a fine story, I just think the real story is in Vol. 2.

>VVVRulz.

Oh don't worry the list seems fine and maybe like you said the Moderator might edited. If so, there is another director I would like to also mention and that is Spike Lee!

Films like: Do the right thing, Malcom X, Get on the Bus, 25th hour, are truly good films. Who knows he might return with a good film pretty soon
🙂

spike lee tries to give his movies to much meaning, meaning that isnt even there to begin with.

That beats a pointless movie though.

Doubt it. He might say he wants it this way or that but they do all the work.
Doubt Tarantino could make it work that well. He shot the movie, he wouldnt be able to step back and put it together like that.

i think gore verbinski for POTC....gotta love it 🙂

Tarantino and kubrick have been added. Did I spell their names right?😑

I'm not too hot on directors... for me it's Gore Verbinski (he is a director, right?). He done Pirates of the Caribbean and The Ring. 😈
