STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Liberator

"Ah, well, that's easy. Senator Darcil of Kentar V. He covets my position as Chairman of the Sentient Rights Commission, that old fool. A very liberal politician, disagrees with everything I say! Thinks we should focus our efforts on slavers beyond our borders, rather than those that are flitting about inside them. A ridiculous notion, nobody we would send would have any legal capability out there! And Senator Bremack of Agamar, too, but I think she is simply corrupt and greedy. She'd use the title of Chairman to increase her wealth, I'm sure."

"Interesting... You ever had any problems with them in the past?"

"They are just very outspoken critics of my use of the Chairman position," Senator Farl says. "Senator Darcil has been running for the position for years, before I was elected to it. Senator Bremack just whines like an demented child."

"Have you heard anything from them since the attacks against your life started?"

"Not personally, no. They no doubt attended the Senatorial meeting the day of the bombing."

I can't see anything else to talk about concerning the Commission for now. Though Wentar will look more into it if his request is with the council is met.

"Indeed... It seems like they both have some motive here," Wentar says. "I don't suppose you've changed your mind about investigating this matter since the last attack, Senator?"

"I am afraid not, Master Jedi," Senator Farl says. "I am positive that it will be cleared up once I return to Triskatan. I do not mean to flatter myself, but my home on Triskatan is the most secure in the Galaxy."

"And if they don't stop?"

"They will give up when they realize that the defenses of my home are insurmountable. The security system of this suite is weak and easily baffled. But at the Senatorial Manor... well... not even an insect could crawl in without my knowing!"

"But you cannot hide on Triskatan forever," Wentar says. "These people mean business, they will find another way. No system is infallible, Senator."

Senator Farl remains quiet for a moment, adjusting his evening robes.

"I shall remain hopeful that you catch the assassin in the act, then," Farl says. "But... I will consider your input, of course. Meanwhile, I wish to watch another film. You are free to join me. Tomorrow, we visit the Senate once again. Palpatine wishes to push his Bureau idea some more, and the Sentient Rights Commission is going to return here with me. Hopefully this time I am not almost obliterated."

Scan on him during that quiet moment. Still no force point use, not sure when I'm gonna need those.

"Indeed," Wentar says, nodding. "I doubt they will pull the same stunt twice."

Lets see, talked to the Council, spoke to Emso about the tapes, sent the tapes in for analysis, spoke to Farl about the opposition... I don't think I'm forgetting anything.

The Senator seems very aggravated, but he is much harder to read than Emso. He has a very secure mind.

Indeed, you seem to have covered your personal objectives for the day. Unless there is anything else that Wentar wishes to do, we shall move on. Senator Farl is watching a film about a Jedi General who became a slave in the Outer Rim, a historical story that Wentar knows vaguely. After that, he will sleep, and the nightwatch will commence.

I have to remember to blow a force point of Farl at some point else I'm going to get no where without it.

Anyway, on to the nightwatch!

Remember that emotions can only tell you so much. What someone is feeling could be totally unrelated to what you are discussing with them, and even if it is relevant, it can only help give you a feeling for things rather than act as proof. You would spend on a Force point on Scan if you really direly needed to know what they were thinking and feeling.

The nightwatch is wholly uneventful. You half expect the suite to crumble in on itself during the night, but nothing happens and the sun rises with everyone intact and not dead.

After Emso dresses Senator Farl in his Senatorial outfit for the day, he prepares breakfast for you and him. A rare delicacy- the eggs of an endangerd bird- is served poached with a thick zesty sauce and strips of bantha bacon. A simple breakfast made fancy by the pricey ingredients.

"I trust things were well last night?" Farl asks you.

Ah, still have a lot to learn when it comes to useing these force powers correctly. Though I have a feeling Empathy will come into play with the Sentient Rights Commission.

"They were," Wentar says, sighing a little. "It was a nice change of pace."

It may!

"Excellent," Senator Farl says. "I am glad of it. Perhaps we might relax and live life as normally as we can until the next opportunity for you to apprehend the attackers comes about."

"We can only hope..."

Also I keep forgetting, I want to swing by the Comms room, just in case any more threats were left that we didn't manage to check up on.

The comms room is unsatisfactorily un-terrorized, Wentar.

Tsk, perhaps tomorrow then? Ah well time to move on it seems. Oh and Wentar will personally inspect the ship this time.
