STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Liberator

Started by REXXXX54 pages

Wentar wastes no time in leveling the defenses of the office. Three successes is one more than he needed to chop down the heavy turret- consider it done.

Despite there being few turrets, their rate of fire is blistering and Wentar is hard-pressed to protect himself against them. He gets his +3 Defense against one of the turrets for moving away from them, which works in his favor.

Wentar will bounce back and go for one of the regular turrets now.

The gas starts to take effect on Wentar, reducing his pool by one...

Wentar hacks down a turret and is hit again as he tries to defend himself.

Tap Block. Hit the Heavy Turret.

Also Reflection should be swapped out by now.

Oh dear! I have forgotten to give you the Parry that Block provides. And considering that each of these turrets has only really hit you with one success but for one attack... Wentar has 3 damage.

Block would be wasted in tapping it on a turret, though. These are mooks, after all. Still want to do it?

Oh! Nah, no tap thanks.

That's better. In that case, Wentar is actually not too pressed by these turrets. Despite their rapid firing rate- except the heavy, which kinda blats out lasers with measured accuracy- Wentar is handling himself well. The heavy turret goes down.

All return fire is parried away!

Awesome, time to clean up these smaller turrets. Just a regular attack on one please.

Wentar dismantles another before the gas takes greater effects... but it is a Refresh turn at least!

If I swap in reflection can I tap it this turn?

Yes, though you might want to consider whether or not that is truly effective.

Better idea! I just swap it in and attack at turret.

That does it! In the same stroke you reflect back a shot and slash at a turret, bringing both down and leaving you in a room quickly filling with gas.

Without hesitation Wentar will start cutting into the blast shield, to get at that console.

You need a cumulative ten successes to get into the blast shield. You begin cutting and roll... one success. The gas affects you further, leaving you down three dice.

Is this still a combat situation where turning off focused guard and tapping block would increase my cutting power here?

I am counting them as off for the purposes of cutting through the blast shield.

I figure I can't exactly 'cut faster' then I already am. Lets keep at it then!

Five more successes! The blast shield starts to warp and melt as you carve a new door into it... keep at it!

Trying his best to ignore the effects of the knock out gas, Wentar continues to sink his saber into the shield, determine to see it fall.
