STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Liberator

And... four more! With a final twist of your lightsaber, a section of the blast shield gives way! You are now in the cramped space that is the security box, now quickly filling up with gas. In the tiny area you have one massive control station that operates everything in the Tower... what are you going to do?

Straight up, shut off this gas and see if I can vent it out of the room. Next up lets turn that apparatus off.

Great! What's Wentar's Fix-It score?

*Twitch*... Int (4) + Fix-it (1) = a grand total of 5...

To make matters worse, Fix-It actually works off of Perception, for a grand total of four dice!

Meaning that instead of Wentar doing anything precise, he simply (accidentally) shuts down every system in the tower. The security system is offline! But so is everything else, including the power. Emergency lighting blinks on.

Can Farl come in and help? Would he know how to handle things?

Nope!

"That takes care of all our obstacles, at least," Farl says. "They won't be able to hack the system any longer."

So everyone is blind now... Awesome. I don't suppose Wentar can work on getting internal communications online to get in contact with the security teams?

Thankfully, the communications haven't been knocked out. Security teams can be contacted!

Can Wentar set up a secure channel with them or is the system already secure now that we've knocked out that apparatus?

You're as secure as you can be.

First up Wentar will let them know that Farl is fine, he wont mention anything about his current location yet, then ask where the teams are currently located and see if they know where the invaders were last spotted.

And then is when you discover that the communications are jammed, as they have been whenever the assassins have struck where you are! They must have brought another of those jammers, like the one you confiscated back on Coruscant...

I really should have seen that one coming. I gonna need a new plan... At least the playing field is even. Neither of us are in control so that a plus... in a weird sort of way.

With the power out I assume there is no way to track them. Although I think they'll want to retake control as soon as possible, which means they will probably be coming here to reactivate the system and put that apparatus to use again.

Long story short, would I be correct in assuming these invaders will be making their way to Drufter's office now?

It is very possible. However, Farl suggests that you just wreck the damn thing so that it is useless. He can buy a new system later when his assassins are dead; he has the money for it.

Unfortunately, the security office is a terrible place for a shoot-out to go down. Stationary turrets is one thing, but if your last encounter with the Assassin was any indication, your assailants are likely to be very mobile shooters. Mobility is limited in here for them, but so would it be for you, giving them excellent firing lines.

You need somewhere that you can really ambush them from, somewhere that you won't be forced into a corner.

Trashing it is probably the best way to go, if we just leave it and they do get to it then all this would have been a waste of time.

Would the stairwell work for an ambush? Wentar can leap from floor to floor to stop himself from being cornered.

Highly possible!

Farl is still nagging that you should be further up the tower, so that in the event that things don't go your way, he can get to his ship and leave.

Not a bad idea. I mean if the assassins are after Farl then the shuttle bay should be one of the first places they look. I suppose we should deal with the assassins before handling that jamming device too.

Dealing with the assassins more or less deals with the situation once and for all!

The shuttle bay itself is not a good option, you think. But there is an incredibly spacious room with walkways and furnishings and the like that is not far from it...

You mean the ballroom? I assume that's the same room that Wentar entered when he first arrived.
