Who cares if it leaves him vulnerable afterwards. It proves he is more powerful. That is what this thread is all about.
Surfer is the more powerful of the two, hands down. If you take away the belts of strength and the hammer created by a skyfather you are left with a class 100 brick who can manipulate lightning and the weather.
Oh true Surfers powers were granted by Galactus, but they are still within him as opposed to some kind of external device.

That's a lulzworthy argument. Mjolnir grants you the power of Thor. Not the other way around. Its like saying Surfer is nothing without the power cosmic which a cosmic God gave to him. Being external or internal has no bearing on the power.
If there are no Thor fans with balls left, I will take on any surfer fans against Thor.

Power cosmic was imbued into him, it's a part of him. The hammer is an external device.

That's not the topic here. When we talk about Thor in a topic it doesn't gets mentioned if he has mjolnir unless its Unworthy Thor which is a recent development.
And even then mjolnir granted the power of Thor to a totally random person as well. So?
