No, it actually wasn't.

It was....if only because I said so. That is fact.

You're making scenarios specifically designed to dictate the outcome, obviously the ninja can win if it's a bunch of drunk sleeping pirates who get caught unawares.

No.

If we pretend for a moment that a ninja, who were everyday regular guys hiding among citizens, then we could also presume that the fight would take place against a chuunin or a jounin.

It is far more likely that the pirate would be facing many different elaborate schemes due to the absurdly connected and secret network of assassins that ninjas are.

My scenarios are far more likely.

Objectively though, pirates have the upper hand over ninjas in a fight, they've better weapons and arguably, better training for battle.

Sort of. More like, the pirates think they do until the don't wake up because they're dead. AHA!

Here's another point for you.

Have you ever seen someone dress up as a pirate for Halloween? Of course you have.

Have you ever seen someone dress up as a ninja. Exactly my point. AHA!

Pirates made a living by thieving, murdering adn fighting, they've no qaulms about using dirty tactics either,

Ninjas made a living by thieving and murdering. If you want to call the one sided assassinations "fights", you can.

Who keeps piling on mystique for the Pirates? I dont see none of that goin on here. How is a ninja expected to stand up against black magic and flying boats with guns and shit?
😆 😆 😆

You win teh threadz, hands down.

how do you think they pillaged villages? they have to go on ground to do that and they have to get past the non-naval infantry that protects said villages. 😬

Professional soldiers do no guard every village. Generally the pirates would meet no resistance, or just a small militia, assuming that they aren't invading London.

My scenario is on the first page: a 2 by 2 mile (about) island with plenty of trees and a small village, I gave ninjas the advantage of being able to see the pirates (the pirates arrive in an area in which the ninjas can see them, but this may change over the course of the battle as they shift position), but compensated by giving the pirates a ship with cannons loaded. There are 50 pirates and 50 ninjas. Each has training and weaponry appropriate to a typical pirate/typical ninja.

Pein starts jutsu

The Village after

It's not a done deal. Ninjas are lame 😆

The OP never did explain which types of ninjas....did he meant ninjas like Shinobi or Ninja Gaiden?

If so....Ninjas.

what? no!

"gaiden" means "story" or "message". theres no such real thing as a "ninja gaiden"... there's just ninja.

There are some very sucky ninjas out there.

Historical ninjas, no video game ninjas.

A ninja is very cunning and stealthy

they can beat pirates

On Spike TV's Deadliest Warrior a Spartan would make a ninja his *****. That's because they're mostly back-stabbers; trained for sneaky killing not head-to-head actual battle field combat. Also, the Spartan's shield and armor was too much to overcome.

And I think "pirate" is too broad. All ninjas came from Japan and had uniform weaponry, pirates can be from any country and have different kinds of weapons.

Yeah, and the pirate beat the knight, who could probably beat a spartan due to having steal weapons/armor.

But then again, that show isn't 100% accurate; couldn't the knight simply drop the pirate w/his crossbow before the pirate even gets close?

Knights typically carried crossbows?

Not in battle, but in the deadliest warrior simulation they gave the knight a crossbow, so logically the crossbow (which is longer ranged than the blunderbuss) could just pick off the pirate before the pirate even gets close.

That's exactly what a ninja would do.

The ninja would not be known as he would appear to be as a villager...depending on what type of ninja we are talking about. When the Spartan went to sleep or traveled alone, the ninja would strike.

There were many different types of ninjas and specialties the ninjas had.

Ninjas also used a wide variety of weapons, some homemade weapons disguised as everyday stuff.

Some used bombs 😄

Depended on the century, as they were outlawed by some Pope at one point. But I believe the code of chivalry generally looked down upon their use.

Shhhhh.

That kind of speak isn't accepted around here. I ninja with a powerful weapon makes things unfair for the pirate lovers.

Ninjas use the art of summoning and bring forth a creature that will destroy the Pirates.

I'm only saying this because everyone in here seems to be using Naruto logic.

Except for everyone you mean.

The Ninjas wont fight the pirates head on, they will kill them in their sleep. Even before the fights starts the Ninjas already poisoned the Pirates food and water.
