STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Broken

"Only towards the end did I actually see myself, when I dropped down into the crevice in the ground. That was the end of it, though."

"What do you feel that it means for you?" Windu asks.

"I would like to think that it means there is something there that I would be able to find, but...in all honesty, I can't say for sure. Interpreting that sort of thing has never been a strong point of mine..." Rianna replies.

Yoda nods.

"Feel you are up to this task, you do?"

"I believe I am. It will be dangerous, and I know that I will need to especially be careful, but...I did not get the feeling from my vision that this is something I'd have to stay away from," Rianna says, choosing her words carefully.

Yoda and Mace Windu look between each other, then around at the Council, receiving a series of subtle nods from the other Council members.

"To Ord Coridari the Council agrees to send you," Yoda announces.

"Under one condition," Ki-Adi-Mundi says, "albeit one you may find welcome. You will be accompanied by a Jedi Master, one who understands Nume Rand and his ways very well."

The entry door to the Council's room opens. The being that walks through is of the same species as Master Yoda, a diminutive and wrinkled green creature. She has brown hair that is pulled back into a tight pony tail, and her face appears much younger than that of Master Yoda.

"Presenting Jedi Master Vera-Kin," Windu says. "She will go with you to Ord Coridari."

Master Vera-Kin walks slowly into the room; she is not as old as Master Yoda and so does not require the use of a cane, but she has still been around for a little over a century. When she enters the presence of the Council, she gives a nod of deference to them all. She eyes her own Master, Oppo Rancisis of the Council, and gives him a brief smile before responding to Master Windu.

"Thank you, Master Windu," Vera-Kin says. "I am honored that the Council has allowed me to take this assignment."

She looks at Rianna.

"So, you are the one that thinks you can take on Nume Rand, hmm?"

"This is certainly not something I would want to do alone, and that will be advantageous. Thank you," Rianna says, before replying to Vera-Kin.

"I do not particularly want to take him on, Master Vera-Kin, but he does need to be stopped."

Vera-Kin sighs heavily; she knows what her former student has become, and agrees with the Knight before her.

"Yes, he does," Vera-Kin agrees. "The being that was Master Rand has been corrupted and now seeks to harm others. I do not know what his goals are in the long run, but I do know that he should be stopped."

Rianna nods. "I assume we will be leaving soon?"

"Today," Windu says. "As soon as you are ready. Our delay was necessary, it need not be costly."

"I can be ready as soon as Master Vera-Kin is," Rianna replies.

"Good. Arrange your means of getting to Ord Coridari or we will do so for you," Windu says. "Your mission is on."

"I have an acquaintance who is a pilot. He should be able to bring us there."

"Excellent. Then may the Force be with you both, and may it be that Rand is brought to justice for the crimes he has committed and may commit."

The Council dismisses you to a waiting Myraline. She gives Vera-Kin a knowing nod, then looks to Rianna.

"What did they say?"

"They are sending Master Vera-Kin and me to Ord Coridari to try and stop Rand," Rianna says, impatient to get going now. "Is Colby still on Coruscant? I was hoping he'd be able to transport us there."

"Yes, Colby is still here," Myraline says. "After hearing of your confrontation with Rand, I had a feeling you would be going again. He is not particularly thrilled about the high risk mission is he being tasked with accompanying, but he will help you as he can."

"I think we will be leaving very soon, then?" Rianna says, looking at Vera-Kin to see if she has any thoughts.

Vera-Kin nods.

"Unless you had some reason for wanting to stay," Vera-Kin says, smoothing out her robes. "I could get in touch with a friend of mine for support, but he may have to meet us there."

"I have no reasons to delay leaving and it will only take me a moment to pack what I need," Rianna replies. "And support would be welcome for this..."
