Vera-Kin is going to keep chasing him, using the Force to pull him backwards and slow him down. Once she reaches him, she will use her Combat score in an effort to tackle him, hopefully before he runs into the street.
"I am your friend, miner!" Vera-Kin shouts as she gives chase.
She is keeping a hold on that blaster she just stole too.
Anything else you want to start checking once Rianna is out of the bacta tank?
-
Five successes for Vera-Kin and the miner struggles against her pull, but cannot get free of the invisible tugging that slows him up. She catches up to him! However, when she tries to tackle him to the ground, Vera only has a Combat pool of 5 and rolls zero successes. Instead of tackling him, she is caught offguard when he kicks at her, rolling a success for 2 damage.
Vera-Kin places the pistol in his face with one hand and ignites her lightsaber in the other, holding it above her in a striking position, angled up and away but ready to swing down if the miner pulls anything... or so he will think, as she has no intention of actually harming him.
"I suggest you stop," Vera-Kin says.
Intimidation check with Presence, please!
Setting your mind toward what needs to be done to stop Rand has helped suppress the unwelcome visions that Rianna is experiencing, and so her mind is a little more clear by the time she gets out of the bacta tank.
-
"Don't kill me!" the miner yelps, hiding his terrified face in his hands. "I have kids! I don't want to die!"
Vera-Kin- there is a bright flash to your right.
All of Rianna's damage has been removed by her stay in the bacta tank.
Returning to the Commander Center, you find that Hirget is not to be seen up there, only the officers working at the computers.
-
There is a second flash, but this time you see what it is coming from.
A camera. Held by a photographer who has let the camera drop to his side on its strap and is now jotting down a memo. He just snapped a picture of you astride the miner with your weapons.
"My job, lady," the journalist says, not looking up from his notes.
Across the street, walking out from the columns and down the steps in front of Dame Astrune's mansion, is the bodyguard Tineas watching the scene quizzically. A growling and angry Barker is pulling up in his landspeeder, hitting the steering wheel.
-
"Fifth floor, records department," one of the technicians says. "You need clearance from the General."
Vera-Kin eyes the journalist suspiciously, using Scan on him, then looks to Tineas.
"Warn your mistress that the thieves are about!" Vera-Kin shouts to him across the street.
"Barker, come help me with him," Vera-Kin says, gesturing to the miner. She steps off of him but keeps the blaster trained on him, all the while turning her attention back to the park, to see if the Dark Jedi can be found. She will try Sensing for Arneth.
The technician can point it out to you from the view of Fort Ine's tower, straight down a main street. It is unlike many of the structures around it, a large, flat gleaming building made of glass.
"Just ask the receptionist for him when you get there," the technician says before returning to his work.
-
The journalist is pleased with what he is writing down, says your Scan.
Tineas does not acknowledge you, but does turn about and go back into the mansion.
Barker clambers out of the landspeeder, growling as he comes. He grumbles about someone pulling his comlink out of his hand without touching it before running off. He asks if it was another Dark Jedi.
You are surprised they did not just try to off Barker, Vera...
