You have a point. But Superman's power set does support the accumulation of power over time. It's been demonstrated on panel with KC Supes and regular Supes (KC being older).And by possible future stories like DC 1 million, where current Superman has evolved into an even more powerful being ( the original Superman Prime), becoming the source of power for all the Superman's in the superman dynasty (including descendants like Superman 1 million).

Exactly, DS conveniently forgets what he can do and gets a bad case of CIS when around supes. No no no that can't be it... it's supes just changes his Mindset and he can overcome ANY foe.

You're probably reffering to the years-later published Superman Confidential series (I guess the author came from the future and wrote the 'You're stronger today' dialogue with that in mind ermm) but it's in a questionable continuity, or perhaps Cosmic Odyssey (if you do, then lulz) which is irrelevant either way because they had another fight less than two years from the Apokolips Now! fight where Darkseid certainly didn't 'slap his ass away'. Batdude, Darkseid and Superman always brawl. I can't remember Darkseid ever doing more than brawling and losing.
In Superman's victories he's either dodged the omega beams, or Darkseid simply hasn't used them.
When he lands his beams, the fight usually ends or never begins, with Superman resisting the beams on two occasions that I remember but he didn't win those fights and I believe IM and someone else was helping him as well in those instances.

haha I read all that. This proves what to you JL.. I guess I'll count you in and expect you also to vote for a Non Holding back, changing his mindset supes will beat the people I listed. Afterall, you guys theory is that he holds back all the time and once he doesn't... look who he can beat.... That is your theory and I'll expect you to vote accordingly. I am more on the side of logic and reason and know DC will have Supes find a way to win. Then can call it changing his mindset, or whatever they want to call it. Fact is, Supes has no business beating some of the peopel he does and he does so because he's DC posterboy. Aside from a few odd-ball power showings, those are what he chooses to employ in most of his appearances because they work, and are effective.
The Omega Beam isn't just over glorified heat vision, either. He uses it for a wide variety of tasks. It has plenty of versatility.

K, aside from the nuthugging here, Darkseid always uses the Omega Effect/Beam on Supes when they fight.
