Guild Wars 2 finally starts to come to life

Warkitty...

Meow.

I wonder if we'll get to use flamethrowers in the game.

I loved Guild Wars for the fact that the level cap was so low and everyone was on even ground.... Why in the world would they raise the level cap to 80?

Well, from the little info they've released, it doesn't seem like levels will be very important and leveling will be very easy.

Well, again that begs the question about what the point of levelling at all is. We'll need a lot more detail on this. Spidervlad is right- the even ground was a strong point for Guild Wars.

Yeah. They need to release some more information. At least with GW, the argument could be made that the parts of the game up until you're at or close to level 20 are considered a tutorial, more or less.

Indeed, that was their only function- to act as an introduction.

Please please please let this be handled well. Pleeeeaaaase.

Because it looks awesome.

This is shaping up to be the most entertaining MMO ever.

I see they've had to update the graph, which is somewhat comical. I am unsure that graph was a good idea; I think it is confusing people more than anything else.

I saw that too. Kind of was amused and not surprised.

Yay for proper voice acting.

I saw what looked like the Monkagon in one of the actual gameplay snippets, as well as a Mesmer (there's nothing more it could be - the armor was nearly identical to the typical Mesmer look in GW1). Shiny.

...swimming asura is pretty hilarious, btw. I don't know why, but it is.

And...Margonite-looking things? Huh. And there was also something looking reminiscent of a Destroyer in there.

Ooooooh I see where the Margonite look is coming from. Iiiinteresting.

(and this post was totally me going back in and editing in my thoughts as I watched the video 😛)

Hmm, does that seem like the crystal dragon to you? The apparently corrupted Charr earlier would suggest that, as corruption seems to be its schtick.

It's been noted that the end of the Dragonbrand as mentioned in Ghosts of Ascalon would seems to correspond to Glint's Lair.

Apparently, it is a dragon that specifically terrorizes the Dragonbrand, called the Shatterer.

And yeah, the end of the Dragonbrand does line up to about where Glint's Lair is on the map - http://i.imgur.com/J9cSX.jpg Also where the Tombs of the Primeval Kings is.

I see they talk it all over here.

Pffft, finally it's up.

I've been getting a "page not found" for like an hour now.

And that dragon totally reminds me way too much of a Margonite.

Well, both are connected to the Crystal Desert. I'd be surprised if there really was a game link though.

watch the HD version, theres some nice footage.

Yes, we've seen it already, that's the video I posted on this page 😛

Also, I just showed my little sister the manifesto video (she's 8 years old yet loves GW, I let her have a character on my account). She keeps asking when they're going to release the game.
