Ganondorf v.s. Cloud

Are you refering to the part of AC where Sephiroth collapses a part of the building and cats pieces of it up, I've seen it. 😛

And that is just sad. lol You brought real logistical facts into a video game, used the character model to give a rough estimate of height, went through formulas and processes just to estimate a pillar's weight. You do realize still its fictional?

So.. I should just guess haphazardly in favour of my faouvirte character with no evidence? /eyeroll. Annnd, you missed the rounding down part. I also went into physics to represent the power of the throw, if you're interested?
I mean I can again argue he can't cut through a crate.
Gameplay.. As a child he casually slices logs in half with no triforce or strength amping items in MM.

See how I'm wasting time with logic and stats? In 2 D games, Link can still kill Ganon and they never threw a pillar. Different Links, same feat accomplished.
Actually, they all had strength amping items of some sort, and the master sword puttign them above Cloud in strength.

I still think lifting the mako reactor was pretty good... Well it was more of a levetate then push. I think the reactor is equal to the castle though.

is there vid with the feat in it available?

To my knowledge he only collapsed part of it?

Hmm i might be able to find it. I thought he slightly lifted it (while they where on top of it or near it, it's been a while) and pushed it into collapsing.

during the fight scene with Cloud in AC?

Yes thats what i always though. Though it has been like 2 or 3 months sense i watched it. I could be wrong so don't quote me on it untill i find a video.

oh... well I'll watch it right now since I own the movie(no homo)

No thanks. I still do not see why you went through the effort of estimating the pillars weight to begin with. Its fictional. -_-

A kid, 10-12 years of age, does not equal 13 huge knights in terms of strength. The master sword did not exist until Link to the Past. So not all the Links used it.

Wait did you guys see the complete directors cut? Because thats the one i saw. If so then i have no idea.

I have seen the complete directors cut, yes.

Alright just making sure we're on the same page here.

In AC, Cloud jumps from building to building cutting the pieces up and nonchalantly doing so. The best feat of his strength is in Dirge of Cerberus where he took one out in one shot. I'd get that cutscene but screw that. Youtube has it, but I'd have to watch about 9 minutes worth of it and I don't feel like it.

Right now im looking for the Mako Reator part. If anyone finds it please tell me.

Well, both characters are fictional, so why debate it at all? For fun.
But if we're gonna debate, let's debate properly, and get as much accurate information and evidence to prove our points as possible, I did just that.

Here are the actual numbers I got when I estimated the pillar's size:
"Calcs.

OoT Link.

73 pixels = 6 ft.
Side length = 143 pixels = 11.753 ft /2 = 5.876 ft.

Pillar volume in cubic feet; 20075.4 [Base x height.] [Base = radius [9.5] x 1/2 side length [5.876]x 6] 334.59
Height = 60 ft.

Weight in pounds per cubic foot depends on the composition.
[usually 166.5 for lighter WHITE granite. Total weight in pounds; 3342554.1]
- 1671.27705 tons.
[Black granite, much more likely; 179. Total weight in pounds; 3593496.6]
- 1796.7483 tons."

and here's the actual power of the throw:

m= 1796.7483 ton short = 1629982.63938 kilogram
v = 125 meter/second = 125 meter/second

kinetic energy (K) = 12734239370.157 joule

The numbers I actually use are almost half that, so ... Yeah. You're wrong, Link is much stronger.

Let's go with 1000 tons, the number I use, to be conservative. Annnd, half the velocity, to be conservative!

m = 1000 ton short = 907184.7399995 kilogram
v = 75 meter/second = 75 meter/second
(K) = 2551457081.2486 joule

Edit: Link in OoT is 17, and TP Link seems to be around the same age. aLttP Link and Zelda II Link are 16.

ok here's the pic, I've outlined in red the part that Seph tk'd, it's a small part of the reactor, and it basically just falls over. So he does enough to break it free... from an already decrepit building. However it is a large section, just not even close to Ganon's feat.

I'm posting it there cause it's a huge photo.

Thank you, Cyner.

Oh... i was taking about a reactor not the shinra buildning... Maybe im wrong what version of the movie do you have? Thanks for helping though.

The gargantuan knight you used in knights of the round could probably cut right through that pillar, considering he cuts through giant behemoths like the WEAPONS. One of which, is Diamond WEAPON and Diamond has higher density than granite. Link is stronger than Cloud, not the KoR.
