Sheesh! I was just making a joke about a character from a game, a whole lot of people didn't know about, getting more credit than Vaan. I was to make fun of him being so ignored in XII that it affected his pick in Dissidia.

Oh! Gabranth got pick because he's Final Fantasy Darth Vader and he's awesome. That's about it.

But I think I will always love Tidus more. Aside from his awful design, he was just an all around better person. And the brotherhood sword is the coolest sword in the series imo. I actually bought FFX just because I saw a pic of him holding the sword

But even though I personally like to think each FF hero is on the same level of fighting each with their own ups and downs, I don't actually have much to prove that is true. So looking at everything, I just go with Vaan in a fight despite Tidus being a better character

I agree. Vaan has grow as an important main character in Revenant Wings, I'm still playing the game, though, I haven't finished it. Tactics Advance 2 is canon to Final Fantasy XII? I've always wondered that.

Tidus is indeed a better main character than Vaan, one million times more, hell, I hated Vaan and I thought he was gay, lol. Although, I don't see Tidus like a true hero, at least no much like Cloud or Squall. Yuna is the best female protagonist in my opinion, but they ruined her in Final Fantasy X-2, I really hate everything in that game.

Yuna was improved in all areas in X-2.

As for Vaan, he is fine in FFXII. I don't care about RW as it's apparently a mediocre and unimportant sequel. just like every other sequel Square makes nowadays.

So he's fine in 12, no need to think or care about a game that adds nothing to the story.

Yeah TA2 is canon to FFXII. All Ivalice games take place in the same world with I THINK the inclusion of Vagrant story for some reason(its an awesome game but not even a FF). I believe they refer to the series as the Ivalice alliance or something stupid

Also to the other guy. RW is in no way bad.I hate almost every sequel FF makes. but aside from the cartoony looking cgi scenes, the over use of the word "anima", and them replaying the same damn song on any scene that is slightly emotional its actually a good game. And it does add to the story with the occuria and aegyl plot and setting up to Vaan's popularity around the world of Ivalice that is seen in Tactics advance 2. I played TA2 first so it made no sense to me how Vaan was just suddenly cool and known world wide

And X-2 was okay. Awful story, but pretty great gameplay at least. best gameplay in the series for me besides FFV

I wouldn't say best Gameplay in the series. If Gameplay also includes that Dressphere mechanic, then it sucks. The battle system, however, seems to be good, just good. But nothing in that game helps much anyway, the Music is simply horrible, I hate Paine and the new Yuna sucks. Rikku is the only one who hasn't changed, she's the best among the three.

Although I wouldn't exactly call the story shit. Maybe I'm not remembering it perfectly, as it's a long game and I haven't played it for 5 years, but the whole Shuyin and Lenne thing was great. I have to say it's probably the most romantic theme in FF series, and that is reaching since I've only played X and X-2 myself, but due to the lack of technology and visual details in previous games (facial expressions, better music etc. although this is just part of what I'm talking about, since previous games can easily get points across with just text and relationship details) I doubt there was a stronger connection (beat loving a person for over 1000 years literally 313) and I think the next best is Squall and Rinoa, or that may be better.

EDIT: 1000 years AND out to bust the planet by hijacking the most powerful outdated weapon ever...because the world ended the relationship. DAYYUMZ!

For me, Yuna and Tidus are the best (if we talk about couples) then Squall and Rinoa.

But Shuyin and Lenne. 🙁

Hmm... Good question. I don't really know... They even put Wakka in there... Anyway, I'm sure they will introduce him in the next Kingdom Hearts games.

I'd buy the next KH if Zidane was in it. Than again, that probably wouldn't be a good idea. I bought KH2 just because I heard it had Seifer and instead of checking it out, I just went to get it

boy was I pissed lol. I hated that game. The first Kh was alright though

edit:If the next KH features Bartz and Gilgamesh. Than that's a instant buy for me

What about Terra and her girly self being in a KH game. If they could squeze Yuna in from X-2 then they could fit her in too. Wonder why everyone make fun of X-2(granted it did suck) but very little want to talk about XI's non-existence. Anyone else have an urge to fight other villians in KH(I know someone mentioned Gilgamesh) besides another uber Sephiroth?

In my case, I don't make fun of Final Fantasy X-2, I am REALLY serious when I'm talking about it. But I have heard (I don't know if is true or not since I haven't played it) that Final Fantasy XIII could be the worst Final Fantasy game.

I want Vayne or Kuja to be in KH. Vayne because he kicks ass without a weapon and I didn't get the chance to fight him in dissidia and Kuja just because I like the fruit. And Kain. Sephiroth needs to make another appearance. He's one of my least favorite villains. But fighting him is always fun

And FFXIII is pretty fun. Seriously do not let the hate get to you. I only played a bit, but its a pretty solid game. The fact that its very linear doesn't even seem like a problem once you play it. Though I only played a couple hours so it could just get bad later, but the parts I played were pretty ok. Sazh is an awesome character

Really? Well, I have read some interviews and forums and in almost all of them the game was underrated badly. I guess I have to play to get my own conclusion and standpoint, but seeing the characters they doesn't seem charismatic in my opinion. The only thing I know is that Final Fantasy has changed...

No kidding. They've taken quite a turn from the past games. I would say rent it if you really want to play it. Don't straight up buy it.
