what say he attacks a more immediate threat, like a charging vincent or cloud, while zell distracts alakazam?

Put into the same situation as Ultimecia, all I have to do is put it up in front of the only direction I can be attacked from. I don't have to react to anything, just stand there and attempt to look pretty. My incredible manliness and rugged good looks will make that rather challenging, though.

We've made a lot of assumptions in this thread. Me saying Machamp goes for Ultimecia, and you guys originally saying that for some reason they start hundreds of feet away.

like, you know, a giant laser that pierces through the atmosphere, for an attack that pulls planets, moons and asteroids from space and makes them crash into eachother

even if it was ten feet away, ult still has the reactions needed to stop time before anyone can cross the didstance..

squall was attacking her head on and she still was able to stop time and avoid him 😬

So Squall is now faster and more threatening than Machamp?

lol I love how people are. Tell me, guys who are arguing she had a shield up the whole time, why she has her hands down the last time you see her and when the bullet hits the shield she has her hand up? Also, not only that but doesn't this sound familiar to you? Something someone said about Ganon and Midna? We didn't see what happened so have to make up something that can be used to argue a point we so desperately want to cling to in vain?

Different situations are different, sir. We actually saw Midna move. All we see of Ultimecia is her with her hand already up when the bullet hits.

Edit: No, she didn't. Every other direction was cut off, and Irving wasted time doing whatever the hell he was doing. She had plenty of time to go "Hmm...I bet I'll be attacked from this direction as it is the only one left open. I'll put up a forcefield right after I count to ten!"
