Superman = "skilled and accomplished fighter"... AGAINST WHO AND UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCE?

Against people who are, somehow, above him in the tiers list.

...and once again, you manage to leave out the circumstances. I realize I'm probably coming off as a Superman hater in this thread, that's not true at all. It's just that, no one has provided one single instance where he has displayed skill worthy of being moved up a tier. Pressure point strikes don't mean a darn thing when the only reason you can implement them is due to your ridiculous speed advantage. It also means jack squat when you use them on someone who is as strong as you, but has no martial art training.

Inference isn't enough to prove your point, if it was, Gamora's placement wouldn't be in question.

I think Batdude's main argument is that some of the characters currently in Third Tier haven't gotten any feats that really put them above Fourth Tier either.

The double standards in the arguments presented against Superman moving up are glaringly obvious, and hilarious to me.

Everyone not named "Superman" appears to get the benefit of the doubt in terms of placement. If that's not Superman hate, then I don't know what is.

I'm not inferring anything. Superman's placement has absolutely nothing to do with the present discussion about Gamora... at all.

There's no double standard on my part.

I've already said it twice, if you think there are people in tiers they don't deserve to be in, cast your vote to bump them down. Moving Superman up to 3rd because there are already people in 3rd that are worse than him, is logically retarded.

No.

What's "logically retarded" is moving 9 or more guys down rather than deservedly moving one guy up.

Lol at going to extremes to make sure Superman doesn't move up. 😂

No shit.

Come on now...

Hey, what the hell is Drax doing at third tier? He should be second.

edit: Clark could probably be on third.

lol. ok, you're the boss. I'm curious though, which 9 in the 3rd tier are you referring to, or was that hyperbole?

Aquaman, Loki, Lobo, Thor, Hercules, Dr. Doom, Kalibak, Orion (who's somehow 2nd tier), Beta Ray Bill, etc.

We've seen him fight non-powered several times, though, and I think his feats there still put him at four.

Kobra pretty clearly out-skilled him in their fight, and Kobra's a tier three.

It's not so much benefit of the doubt... because I don't think there's much doubt. He's a tier four that has some tricks he can apply when he has his super speed and precision, but not when he's human.

I don't think there's many tier threes he can do all that well against, and I think there's quite a few tier fours better than him. Rorschach, Catwoman, Batwoman, Blink, Misty Knight. I'll also point out some tier fours like She-Hulk have been seen using pressure points too. The impression thing of pressure points isn't knowing where to do them, that's merely anatomy knowledge, it's pulling it off against a skilled for.

What 3rd tiers are worse than him anyway? Human level to human level, I honestly think all of them are in the 6/10 to 9/10 range over him when I look the list over.

Not at all. I'm telling it as it is.

It's pretty obvious you get hard hating on Superman.

Which is fine, but at least have the balls to admit it.

Damn! I have been found out. Yes, going out of my way to refute Superman's fraudulent martial arts exploits is what gets me going.

That's all you had to say. 🙂

I'm not really shocked at the downplaying of Superman's scans and feats, and usage of 'Nah uh' arguments, but rather the blatant displays of character-hate and the continual participation in said 'debate' using haterade powered responses and rebuttals.

I'm not shocked by any of it.

I just find it funny and pathetic.

I know. Reminds me of the hissy fits people had regarding Batman in the other tier thread...which is now closed.

What exactly is the dispute as far as bumping up Superman a tier? The notion itself isn't without merit.
