So it's his appearance that matters. That is what defines him. Okay. Let's look at his costumes, after all that is much better known than his face.

Which of the following are Peter Parker?

All of them! I didn't even have to go outside of the 616 Universe!

So Parker never takes off his mask eh!

Then lets change Uncle Ben and Aunt may also to black folks since their skin color doesnt matter. Also MJ, a black kid and a white GF....cant have that now can we. Screw it, lets change their whole history of being white.

So being white is what made him get bullied? What made him skinny? What made him poor? What got him a bad job? What made him a nerd?

That doesn't make any goddamn sense.

Portrayals of blacks as intelligent people who have to struggle through a difficult life are racist?

are you really asking those questions?!

you just mixed up both things....

1st no it makes no sense because that is no where in the ball park of what meant on either point 😐

has nothing to do with him being specifically the color white. thats his race since day one. if he was black from day one and they were gonna make a spiderman movie and used a white actor people would be just as curious.

then whats the problem?

you tell me. your the one saying white doesnt have anything to do with his origin

i didnt say it didnt have anything to do with his origin. i asked what being caucasion has to do with his origin. its something that no one has been able to answer so far. 😐

just cause it doesnt say anywhere in his or her description of a character what race they are doesnt mean race is not relevant to them. theres no need for them to say what race they are when you can look for yourself.

he was in his origin before he got his powers.....anyways him being a "skinny little white kid" has a lot to do with his char....

he's a poor white kid in new york....who is also a genius....seriously black people are not the only people who can make claim to that kind of background....just the fact that people think "ooh if it a minority they have to be black" is retarded....truth if you look at peter parker before he got his powers he was indeed bullied, poor, nerd, SKINNY, and he put all his time into science practically....then once he got his powers he still got bullied and bullied even more from his boss that paid lousy.....you swap him and for a black person and this comes dangerously close to being racist unless you change things around a bit. so no the fact that he's white does not "define" him but it would mess with his char if it was changed.

perhaps then give a reason as to why petter parker should be black??

how would that solve the problem of no one answering my question? im genuinely curious about the problem is with having peter be black? i dont care if spiderman is black or white or green, personally, but it tickles me how people are so afraid of change for no reason other then for the sake of being so.

its that it doesnt follow his history. thats the problem. and yeah it doesnt say in his bio he is white. doesnt say in bishops bio or fat albert or winston from ghostbuster that they are black. theres no need to put in a characters description what race they are when you can obviously see for yourself.

would it be right in the next ghostbusters movie if the team had 4 white members ?

dont you think it would make more sense in the next fat albert film him being black and not white ?

the problem with fat albert being white is that his story is actually about the life of a black child growing up in a black community during that time. i wouldnt have a problem with bishop being white anymore then i had a problem with nick fury being black which is none whatsoever shrug

and peter parkers story is actually the life of a white nerdy teen growing up and being bullied by white guys. they chose him white because well thats what race they wanted him to be. and they stook to keeping him that race all these years for a reason dont you think ?

they didnt change his race from black to white every other spiderman issue that came out.

no, its not. its about a nerdy guy being bullied by teens, him being white has no actual impact on the story in any way, shape, or form. its inconsequential. if he had been black the story as it is now wouldnt have made any less sense nor would the context have been different. its different from fat albert

its different from fat albert because albert is black right 😉

and if parkers race had no actual impact on his story dont you think they would have changed his race at some point in the past 50 years ?

answer this wouldnt you be a little curious watching a show or cartoon and bam next season they changed that characters race after he has been around for along time and everyone knows him as one race ?

If the ethnicity of a character is inconsequential, then why bother to change it?

To choose the best actor for the role. Could be one possible reason in such a case, not that that is the case people are making, I believe.
