I can't think of any popular ones. I am sure there are comic heroes in German comics, but I don't read those...and neither does anyone else as far as I know. Perhaps there are some third rate German heroes in US Comics...the only one I can think of is Nightcrawler, though, and he's blue.

If they character is portrayed correctly, ie a nerdy guy who's awkward around people, it could work, considering the black actor is a good at his job, acting.

Now if they try and ethnithize (made it up) it and have the guy saying shit like "dat", "we be", "aight" and "holla', it will be an insult to the character and it will be shit.
