i grew up in a ghetto neighborhood for 8 years i guess im black now to.
want me to show you one instance where parkers skin had any bearing on his character ? read any spiderman comic from amazing fantasy 15 till now and look at his skin.
if his race wasnt relevant than they would have changed his race around back and fourth in every other comic they released.
they stook to drawing him that race for a reason all those years.
why is storm always black ? well thats her race from day one. and she grew up in africa right ? well there alot of whites in africa to but im not gonna say hey she could be either one because both races are around in africa. I would be just as curious if they did another x-men film and storm was white. she was black from the begening and she is still black today. same thing for parker and his race. same thing for fat albert as well.
wouldnt it be disturbing changing the characters race around back and fourth from white to black every other episode, movie, comicbook just for equal opportunities ?
Have you watched the Fat Albert cartoons from the 70's? The issues Fat Albert and crew often deal with are what is (or was) typically known as 'black issues', make him white(or Asian etc), you change an integral part of the character. This isn't the same with Peter Parker's character.
LoL, fail attempt at making me out to be some sort of bigot.
That isn't a valid reason, all you're saying is "he was always drawn with light skin", which doesn't mean shit, really. So not one example of where Peter's skin-tone mattered to the character? Does it define his personality, or who he is?
Again, poor comparison, Storm is an African priestess from a black-African tribe, her mother being black is an integral part of the character. Her ties with the tribe factor in some story lines.
If you're thinking at coming with Black Panther next, that would be a poor comparison too.
What aspects of Peter Parker make the character:
-Ackward kid
-Nerdy
-Super-intelligent
-Orphaned
-Raised by Aunt & Uncle
-Given strong sense of right and wrong by Aunt and mostly Uncle
-American
Tell me where skin-color factors in?
