The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Usually games aim for a bit more before Black Friday for release dates, so that they've got enough "hey! We're out!" advertising by that day that they can sell like mad. Also so they already have their first week numbers so they can afford to put them on sale.

For the most part, yeah. But it's never bothered me. I always find the story executed well enough that the main villain turning out to be Ganon is just a bonus.

Perhaps it's the fan in me, but I've never had any trouble getting sucked in to the game and enjoying it so that something like that wouldn't irritate me.

It never bothers me either. I actually don't care about the story in Zelda games because I never thought much of them.

I play them because of the gameplay. There always great to play even if the games follow the same formula. But that's like any other series in video game land.

It seems that Skyward Sword will also have an alternate package with a golden Triforce Wii Plus remote.

Since I am in need of another remote, I might as well buy this package.

I found a picture of the Gold Wiimote. It looks cool.

Not bad. Anything else come with the package?

Some new information has started to appear. I'm pretty excited that the game's almost here. Spoilers abound.

Wow that's dark...

Very nice opening. Only Wind Waker's is better.

My copy of Skyward Sword is paid in full! I got the special edition with gold Wii remote. November can't arrive fast enough!

Zelda is the only reason I haven't smashed my Wii yet.

Pretty much as well.

I don't even have my Wii hooked up. I'll have to hook it up when the game comes out.

Yup, Intro trailer pretty much confirms that this is the backstory described in Minish Cap and Twilight Princess.

The cover art for Skyward Sword rather implies that it's, chronologically, the earliest game in the series.

(and while that photo is not mine, I can confirm that it's real - we got said art in yesterday at work. I built that damned display it came with 😛)

Lucky. awermm

I've never used Wii Motion Plus. I keep hearing about how accurate Link's sword movements will be.

Twilight Princess on the Wii was just wagging the remote to hack & slash as opposed to pressing a button on the Gamecube controller.

So, can this game still be played without a Wiimote Plus?

Ganon's not in the game, but

Spoiler:
a recent picture of the games supposed final boss looks a **** of a lot like him.

Oh god yes.

Whoa, I didn't expect it to get a 10 in that vid.

Gameinformer also gave it a perfect 10.

a 10?

Is this game... is this game amazing?

Might it be true? or are these just fanboy reviewers?

Apparently Edge, which is notorious for reviewing very harshly, also gave it a perfect 10.

So, yeah.
