For the most part, yeah. But it's never bothered me. I always find the story executed well enough that the main villain turning out to be Ganon is just a bonus.Perhaps it's the fan in me, but I've never had any trouble getting sucked in to the game and enjoying it so that something like that wouldn't irritate me.
It never bothers me either. I actually don't care about the story in Zelda games because I never thought much of them.
I play them because of the gameplay. There always great to play even if the games follow the same formula. But that's like any other series in video game land.
Some new information has started to appear. I'm pretty excited that the game's almost here. Spoilers abound.
The cover art for Skyward Sword rather implies that it's, chronologically, the earliest game in the series.
(and while that photo is not mine, I can confirm that it's real - we got said art in yesterday at work. I built that damned display it came with 😛)

Lucky. awermm
I've never used Wii Motion Plus. I keep hearing about how accurate Link's sword movements will be.
Twilight Princess on the Wii was just wagging the remote to hack & slash as opposed to pressing a button on the Gamecube controller.
Oh god yes.
