fighting melee isn't really fighting like an idiot...its just thor's first method of fighting usually, he likes to fight close up because he enjoys the visceral battle. he's a warrior, for him, the fight is as important as the outcome.

In their very first battle after like two pages of fighting, Thor realized that getting in close with Logan was unnecessary.

Why would Thor let Logan get in close when it's clear he's gotten an amp?

The thing why I think that this isn't a heavy miss match is: What will Thor do (maybe besides from teleport BFR) to keep him away from him?

so thor gets the knowledge of prior battles in this fight? kinda unfair, but if thats the case, then your point that thor goes range holds more validity.

we would need threadstarter to confirm whether thor has such knowledge in this fight. I think its unfair.

- Weather manipulation.
- Energy projection.
- Exotic techniques.

I could get more specific but I don't have all night.

How is it unfair that Thor will retain his memories?

I don't even.

Characters have knowledge of previous (canon) battles as standard. Again, that was covered in the rules.

because it allows him to fight out of his usual style in this fight...also, I dont think the threadstarter intended that

Funny, Thor didn't seem to have any trouble hitting Wolverine after he stopped holding back and trying to talk sense into Logan.

I understand that some posters enjoy handicapping Thor but this is ridiculous.

Besides, fighting against an amped Logan, he'll reach the exact same conclusion. Except faster.

The thread starter didn't intend for Thor to retain his memories?

hey jake, you really think thor's gonna unleash lightning and thunder and whirlwinds right out of the gate? if you think that, then you clearly don't get Thor, no matter how many of his comics you have read

thor is a prideful warrior, he takes pride in fighting on equal grounds with skill. he's going to engage logan in close combat first.

in the scan posted right above ur post Thor attacks quicksilver with lightning as his first attack. Just pointing that out.

also, thor crushes logan with Mjolnir? lol...thor can't crush what he can't hit...and logan can dodge thor because of better reflexes, but even if he gets hit, his aura will dampen the blow and his hf will get him up in a matter of seconds

whereas what is thor gonna do if logan swipes his eyeballs out? or is that so out of the realm of possibility for you to accept?

Lol at you thinking I don't "get" Thor. Being entirely modest and honest, I'm pretty sure I'm one of the most knowledgeable and well read Thor supporters on this forum, probably right behind Rage and ODG. And you do realize that Thor has started fights doing that, right? And plenty of them.

Case in point: you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

really...against foes he thought only had melee attacks?

Like Quicksilver in the above scan?

Thor has also started a fight by tossing mjolnir right of the bat. Hows the midget gonna dodge a faster than light hammer toss?

By being Wolverine.

ALL the colors can travel faster than C.

It's how they get around the universe. (Except maybe Compassion, because they can teleport.)

They don't fly at light speed in the midst of combat nor possess light speed reaction time.

If Thor throws Mjolnir at anything remotely close to his top speed, it's going to tag Wolverine. Especially if he just has it home in on him.

and if logan vomits on thor, how will thor dodge it?

There's no evidence to suggest it would injure Thor enough to take him out of the fight.
