They can use their speed in combat, and have.
Maybe not always light speed, but Hal's gone super sonic in city in Sinestro Corp War. Hal took Sinestro to the edge of the solar system in Rebirth with a charge, and the two were flying past planets easily enough.
Kyle especially liked using his speed in space, to circle around a fair distance and charge at especially durable opponents and hit them in the face.
Thinking about it, if Wolverine charged with claws out before Thor initiated a hammer throw, that could be nasty for Thor..

and if logan vomits on thor, how will thor dodge it?
He'll use Mjolnir to absorb/block/defend against it more likely than attempting to tank it.
If it does connect with him, there's nothing to suggest it will be extremely fatal.
Either way, Logan would have to close the distance and spit on Thor before Thor throws Mjolnir.
Which isn't happening.

Not especially; I'm just not pretending a Red Ring is some uber i-win button.

He did, but this is a red ring, and the op didn't state that Logan retains his intelligence.

No, he didn't state that.
You don't need to be intelligent to simply charge, though. In fact, that was Guy's MO the first time he used the ring.

They have speed, sure, but it's generally movement speed, not cognitive/reaction time based speed. The power ring, in theory, should boost their minds to be able to operate at that level, but they're still human (or whatever species they are) level in terms of reaction. They're thought based weapons and can only operate as fast as they can think and manifest whatever effect they're trying to achieve.
And unlike a GL or SL, Red Lanterns have no proof they can augment their reaction times with a computer.
However, Hal DID zip through an asteroid belt without using it, back when Sinestro was training him I believe. Maybe they can augment their perceptions with it?
I'm not sure if proof exists for that, but it should be possible theoretically.. The GL rings did have proven mind programming capability.
No relevance to Logan and his ring, but just wondering..

If the ring can remove the part of the brain that feels fear, i don't see why not.
In theory, I'd imagine someone like Atrocitus or a Green Lantern using a Red Lantern ring in concert with their own power ring could augment their reaction times, but without any relevant on panel showings, I'm not going to assume that Wolverine could, especially in the context of this thread.
The idea that he'd be able to fly to Thor faster than what Thor could hope to react to and attack him before eating Uru is pretty wild, but par for the course considering some of the other gems in this thread.

Out of curiosity, has the Red Lantern vomit every hit anyone who isn't a Red Lantern?
Yeah, no name Red Lanterns vomited on no name Green Lanterns and killed them. Atrocitus broke though some of Hal's constructs, too. And Dex Star killed some humans with his vomit. And even then, the power of Rage has an advantage over Will.
Still, nothing at all to suggest that Mjolnir can't defend against it and nothing to suggest that someone of Thor's durability and damage soak can't endure it.

Black Lantern Superman (Kal-El, not Kal-L) was shown getting hit in one panel with no real damage, though it was a background shot, so ymmv.I think Lobo too.
I don't think Black Lanterns could even feel pain, being dead.
Lobo too. He used to cry out in pain, but lately you can pretty much rip out his organs or tear him to shreds and he won't react like he felt it.

I meant Green.Scan? If it was the Rage entity, I wouldn't count it.
I remember it hitting Lobo without doing any damage but I can't recall the comic. It might have been Atrocitus himself.
It was Atrocitus.
Happened right after his run in with Spectre. I'll see if I can dig up a scan, but there's not much to it except Atrocitus blindsiding Krona, and a cry of pain, followed by a pissed off Krona retaliating.

Red Lantern vomit seems to be very effective at burning away Green Lantern constructs (Until they became common anyway) but that doesn't always indicate how it would fair against a durable opponent.
Oh definitely.

It'd be appreciated.
Guardian's aren't particularly durable (For their tier) but it's still pretty impressive.
For the record, I don't count something Atrocitus does as evidence for Red Lantern Wolverine. He's like the Sinestro, Kyle Rayner/Hal Jordan etc. of his corps.
