...Come to think of it, since the UN is "part" of Galactus, I suppose he WAS powerful enough to destroy Abraxas... In a sense. 🙂

At any rate, I'm not saying Galactus is on par with Abraxas, per se--but imo it can logically be viewed both ways, depending how highly you view 'rax.

i dislike using 30 year old scans to retroactively prove a point that it doesn't necessarily support anyway. 😬

so zop, REMOVE the retroactive context you're applying to that scan and tell me what you think the author--AT THE TIME--meant by eternity's speech.

Even if you didn't get it the first time, he seems to hammering the point home now.

Not unlike quanchi... That's why I'm glad this site comes stock with an ignore function. 😛

That Eternity and all his alternate selves are aware of what happens to each other.

how'd you come to that conclusion? 😕

he said he was an object lesson for all who come THERE. nothing at all about other eternities knowing what happened to him....

You can't be serious?

Very much agreed.

And as to the actual thread: Dream wins.

We're both talking about this scan and comment right?

I mean I don't understand how to explain it to you better than the writer of that story did. His (Eternity's) very first statement proves my point.

maybe it's me. the statement reads:

"Of the nigh infinite number of aspects that comprise my totality, i am the only aspect to succumb to death."

i don't see how that translates to all aspects automatically KNOWING that this aspect died..... each eternity is an individual entity. there is absolutely nothing in that scene to indicate they share a consciousness. shrug

and obviously, this is well before the idea of any multi-entity was ever dreamed of. are you saying that this 'totality' is retroactively the multi-entity?? that.... makes no sense. you can't use this scene to retroactively prove the existence of a multi-entity that shares a consciousness with all versions of eternity. 😬

There are trillions of red blood cells in my body. I have no idea when one of them dies.

Point: different parts of the same whole do not automatically share some kind of contrived 'hive mind' by default...

h1 could create a mathematical formula for you to show you when one dies

If you use enough symbols/numbers in a post, it HAS to be accurate.
