USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE VI (DARK SIDE)- Enemy

The minimum stake is a nice even million credits...

Any news of large sums of money outside the Republic?

Fifty thousand is a bit shy from a million... and considering we don't have any gambling talent among us, it'd be a real shame to throw all our money away.

What kind of games does the casino specialize in?

Even if there was, it wouldn't be in credit form.

Merik's casino is no run-down Hutt dive of a gambling den. Robine is a vasyt world of pleasure and entertainment ans the casinos there are in the Vegas style, with Merik's as the centrepiece. Almost every legitimate game known is played there, and it eveb has copious facilities for non-standard atmosphere breathers, including an underwater section, several different atmosphere sections and extreme high and low pressure areas.

However, the classical section has the most classical games- all your standard dice and card games, from simple die number-matching to New Pazaak, a giant centrepiece Roulette spinner, and even some skill-based games in the margins.

For the less discerning player, the lower levels have your various slot machine types, but they are petty cash things really.

Skill-based games, eh? That might be an avenue of revenue for some of us...

(oh yeah!)

Is there anyway once there we could try and convince someone to sponsor us who has more money?

Okay, so propably the best course of action is to win the lower level games and get ourselves up to Merik's tower.

Can we prepare a little bit for the games, for example identify the skill based ones?

You can identify that the skill you need is Gambling.

Is there anybody we can find who has gambling and ally willing to tag along, maybe we can talk someone on Robine into doing it for us?

It's a pity Trickster isn't still around...Tanic would be so perfect for this situation. I remember him wanting Gambling way back during Ghost Citadel...

Anyway, I think the problem we'll run into is less the skill part (we're Force-users, after all) but more that we won't know the rules of the games they'll have.

You';ll understand the rules- you just won't be any good.

Well if we are going the gambling route we are going to need someone good at gambling than.

I don't think any of you took a single Republican contact, so that's a no go. So plan without such a person.

Perhaps we could throw in with a gambler when we arrive? Choose someone to support and help them cheat and make their way up to the top.

Not a bad idea, but that could backfire against us, too - if they make it up and decide to be like "well thanks but screw you guys".

The other options are 'we don't gamble' or 'we brazenly rob a bank.'

You certainly don't play skill games without Gambling.

If you rob a bank that uses credits, then it's somewhere that the Bureau would follow you at.

I think we can get someone under our control by making a business proposition that would lucrative for them. We just need to be weary with them and not give them too much information they could in fact use against us. Such as telling them we are Darksiders. We have enough Forcey-type people with great lying skills combined that telling people we are rich business men looking for a good gambler to help us win some money wouldn't be too far of a stretch imo.

If you are rich businessmen, he'll want you to stake up the money.

Well we do have 50 000 credits to give him/her to use. They don't have to know that's all we have 😛

Or would it be easier for us to find someone with good skills that also hates Merriks Casino and needs a backer to help them start up doing it 😛
