Star Wars seems pretty gun tolerant, but this is not Hutt Space, so there must be some caution on a weaponry display. There would be nothing innately illegal about the sabre display; the problem there is simply that someone might tip off the Bureau.

Unfortunately, they do see enough of the rough side of life out there to not be fazed by an artificial arm's capacity for hiding things, so no go there I am afraid.

The problem with a large scanner-resistant briefcase is the that anywhere with a scanner will also have people searching large and obvious bags, in case they are scanner resistant.

It will likely be helpful if you consider that people have already tried just about everything you can think of. Your normal trump card is that you could just kill everyone there, but the Bureau stymies that as an option.

Dang you took our trump away, that's like all we do, and do well.

I don't suppose we could get an R2 unit to carry them for us 😛

Does anyone have such a droid as an ally?

I don't think so.

Droids probably wouldn't be safe around us anyway, with our short tempers and destructive tendencies.

We never to get to have anything nice.

Didn't we buy an astromech droid after Gonderkorro? I seem to remember that happening.

Con will be alright with his blaster, I guess. What skill does hiding a sabre require?

It depends on the situation. It's basically an extra penalty for a badly failed roll like Intrusion or Savoir-Faire.

Hmm, I say that we could leave our sabres on the ship, then. We are cabale of fighting without sabers now, even Gallador.

What about Vic? I suppose his Force powers help here, but I think he's running low on FP... derp.

Do you have Intrusion or Savoir-Faire?

I guess Con could risk it, he's an alright allrounder.

Perhaps we could also hide them in plain sight or something. Like, I dunno pretend it's an art project 😐

There's nothing preventing us from backing a gambler, correct?

I'll be assembling a list of who is carrying what soon. Rand is willing to carry a lightsaber for another, if necessary. He carries nothing else himself but his own lightsaber.

Nothing literally preventing you but it presents many difficulties to get right. Say he wins- what happens then?

We need some way to guarantee that he won't betray us or double-cross us like that sneaky bastard on Datura... or we need to pick someone who doesn't have it in them to cross us.

Even more basic than that. What do you get out of him winning?

Aside from obscene amounts of money, we also gain access to the top floor and to the gambler Merik.

Ah, there's the thing. Because, no, it gets him access to the top floor.

Unless you want him to win enough for each of you?

I think stealing massive amounts of money would be preferable...

Sadly impractical both on time grounds and 'anyone using Republic credits is inside the Republic and attracts Bureau attention anyway when you knock it over' grounds.

It's not like we can steal the money from the casino. Stealing it from somewhere inside the Republic puts a big target on our heads again, and I'm not sure there's anywhere outside the Republic that has the funds we're looking for.

Do we need 2 milliion apiece to get up there?
