Minato has not demonstrated the ability to seal away abilities. He's demonstrated the ability to sever one's control over/contract with a Summoning.
Building up Izanami (recording) doesn't stop one from using Susano'o. It's only after the user lands it on the opponent and thus loses an eye, that Susano'o cannot be used.
Genjutsu isn't instantaneous, but it doesn't take seconds either. Seems to be nearly instantaneous once you get eye-contact.

Which is why I won't use them in a battle situation. I'm playing fair. Plus, could you imagine 5 Minato's teleporting instantly around you? With Rasengan's? But, I won't even present that since he hasn't done it.

No he can't seal away abilities, but he can move/teleport chakra (AKA beast ball). I don't find it that big of stretch to say he can't temporarily get rid of a chakra based defense like susano'o. Long enough to attack anyways.

As far as Izanami, I inferred from the fact that Itachi had on susano in one frame, and then when making the seal to activate it, susano was gone, allowing Kabuto (who is much slower than lightning by the way) to split him in half. Had he not had the resurrection effect he would have died. If Kabuto could tag him, Minato could tag him

Itachi would be doomed without Susaano. Not true Itachi beat Kakashi who was in the anbu and trained by Minato himself so yeah Itachi could fight Minato without susaano. susaano is just there to be helpful.

Minato would stomp kakashi as well so what is your point? Itachi could fight minato without Susano'o, but then he dies.

Good point but tell me this how would Minato get out of his tsukoyomi or his amaterasu.

Well, Minato would put tags all over the battlefield, and before amaterasu catches him he just teleport himself, and tsukoyomi, well, Minato can teleport while in a genjustu?

Good plan but I don't think you can teleport from it remember when Itachi fought Sasuke and Sasuke said he had a move just like amaterasu unblockable,and can't be evaded. Also when you said Minato could put tags all over the battlefield what would happen if Amaterasu got all over them.

he has points all over konoha he could go to if need be. Tsukiyomi need more than an instant to work, not so for Minato. How long was Kakashi allowed to babble before being trapped init? how about Sasuke? minato would have already stabbed in the back of his neck by this point.

No I think tsukuyomi works in seconds Minato could be in it and wouldn,t even know it. Also how can Itachi be stabed in the neck with Susaano surrounding his body.

Maybe if Minato tagged him before and Itachi didnt even know, he puts Susano'o and Minato teleports inside Susano'o.

But wouldn't that make it easier to get hit with amaterasu.

So Itachi too cause Minato would be too close to him :/

Well even if Itachi did get hit he could just put the flames out on his self and jump away with susaano while Minato burns and while Minato is freaking out Itachi could just stab him with susaano if Minato doesn't burn to death.

If A couldn't be hit by Amaterasu, what makes you think minato, who is faster, will?

Minato couldn't take on his own student and couldn't perfect his own rasengan. He didn't advance early on like itachi did...I see a possibility closer to the final valley with senju vs uchiha. That wasn't a pun...
itachi is more than just susano'o and I think he could get in closer plus eye sight itself plus other tricks could cast minato in illusion. If minato wins I think it'd have to be in hands of masashi kishimoto first.

wouldnt minato win? sasuke beat itachi, minus all the technicalities, he won.

Minus Itachi purposely holding back and devastated by illness? Not to mention on the verge of blindness?
