No the argument is that a skilled fencing athlete is not better at h2h than a martial artist, or a MMA fighter or a boxer.

You think a fencing athlete is better at H2H than any of those?

Again, you disagreed with Thor being better at both armed and unarmed combat, hence me posting examples of both.

Besides, like I've already said, some of the armed examples also include him using throws, kicks and agility which would be applicable to hth combat.

In a swordfight and if hes carrying a sword, yea he just well could be or probably is.

A swordfight is kinda against the rules for a Hand to Hand fight.....which I have always taken to mean unarmed combat.

In a swordfight is not H2H.

And just because He is touching his sword He becomes better at H2H?

I've tried to tell him several times now, the armed examples were posted because 1) he disgareed about Thor being better at armed combat and 2) some of them include Thor using kicks, throws and agility which would help in a hth fight.

Look I don't even know why were talking about a fencing athelete anyway. Not it's not entirely exempt from h2h.

Ah I see, like I said it's gonna be a long 'night'.

A fencing athlete would not be more skilled in H2H combat then a MMA fighter, but at the same time there is still a lot of crossover between the two.

The ability to move, dodge and weave, counter, thinking critically in close quarters combat, defending from different angles and attacks.

Thinking that just because you are skilled with a sword vs H2H somehow means you lose those things that are shared between them is wrong.

I've never disagree of Thor being better at armed combat, I disagree that He is better at H2H combat because He is not.

Proof?

Of what?

That Superman has done it to Batman?

Of my placing of Batman above Thor in skills?

You said by feats his armed and UNARMED skills are better.

I disagree because his UNARMED skills are not better than Superman's

Where in the following exchange do you say that you only disagree with the unarmed part?

It's possible when he said nope in his mind he just mean't unarmed and just forgot to be specific.

Possible, but let's see if he admits that or if he tries to make excuses.

This thread is not about them fencing, it's about hand to hand combat. That part of the discussion is irrelevant and for another thread, so move away from it.

You just had to complicate things didn't you? Not even Superman wins, it's a stomp... ermm

Pretty sure with a statement like that you're not even serious.

Superman holds every physical advantage and he has hand to hand feats that are visibly superior to Thor's.

That means that it doesn't matter if this will be a slugfest, a skill involving contest or them simply trying to outmuscle eachother - Superman will win in each and every one of them.

That's a stomp.

I disagree with Your statement as is not true entirely.

and I missed the part where I have to tell you EXACTLY where I disagree with you

I only disagreed on h2h unarmed combat skills of thor. If you haven't noticed this is a strict h2h combat.

To quote the Judge Dredd movie, I knew you'd say that.

Admittedly....it was a possessed Batman, apologies for making it out to be something greater than it was!

I hold my hands up!
